  1. I agree with you 100% I just didn't read the post correctly (whoops). Thought his heart rate stayed down while cycling and running and not only while cycling.
  2. Well then I don't have a clue. Sorry I couldn't help.
  3. It might be an indication that you are getting sick or that your body is fighting a virus or cold of some sort, and therefore your system is bit down. You might not even know your sick or feel sick but that doesn't necessarily mean that your body isn't fighting a virus or something.
  4. Just go for a VO2 Max test, that will accurately determine your max heart-rate, and at which heart-rate you enter into a different training-zone.
  5. I try to clean my cassette, chain, chainrings, FD and RD after every ride, and wash the entire bike once a week. Also service the bike once every 2 months.
  6. I've never thought about it like that. Where the hell does all that money go?
  7. Thanks alot!!! O and sorry for the hijack!
  8. Where did you regesiter for your license on the internet? I want to do mine as well.
  9. I should probably go for the proper test. But apparently its not a fun process I've gone for a VO2max test where you also determine you max heartrate and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I think the reason for it is because they gradually raise the intensity up to you max. So it's not like you have to go falt out from the get go. BUT IT DOES KILL YOU LEGS!!!!
  10. Talk to Tyerone here on the hub. He does awesome decals for your fork! Here is his add: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/72198-fox-fork-pimp-it/
  11. I'm currently riding Fulcrum. And all I can say is that they are awesome. Those things are bomb proof. You will not make a mistake in buying fulcrum. And once you ride those babies you will never look back!!!
  12. I only pay R350 for a LUST Crossmark. Damn R500, thats a rip - off.
  13. I would say the crossmarks. They are great tyres with low roling resistance, and work great in dry conditions.
  14. The Crossmarks are not made for wet and muddy conditions. I ride crossmarks and love them in dry conditions but if there is mud, you will be slipping and sliding!
  15. Hey Hubbers. It's time to buy a new cassette for my bike, just wondering which would be the better choice. The shimano XT (9 spd) or the SRAM PG980? The XT is lighter but which one is the stronger one, and which has the better shifting?
  16. You do not have to be big and tall to ride a 29'er. If you read this months Tread Magazine issue you will see that the junior MTB XC girl champ rides a gaint 29'er. And she is like 16 years old and cannot weigh more that about 55kg's. So you don't have to be a big guy to ride a 29'er.
  17. There are only two types of MTB'ers. Those that have fallen, and those that are going to fall. (Sorry for the bad news. hehehehe!) But falling is stil better than being bike jacked of hit by a car! How much are you looking at spending?
  18. Sorry for the hijack? I want to get my hands on some new KCNC components. And it seems like you guys know where I could get them at a good price.
  19. A good guideline to follow is to not lose more that 1kg per week. If you lose more than that it is usually water weight and you will gain that weight again.
  20. Your best bet will be to talk to Maryke here on the HUB. She really knows her stuff. Her post is: "training programs for cyclists", and all her contact details are there. Just search for the post under the "for sale" classifieds. Good luck.
