  2. There were lots of uploads to Strava mentioning wind. I didn't feel any either.
  3. Source?
  4. Ja I guess that's racing. There's a fine line between racing the guys around you and working together for a good time.
  5. Thanks . You said what I was thinking . That's racing for you.
  6. I must say... haven't enjoyed a race like that in a long time. There were some strong men at the front on DL determined to pull the whole way. It was only the last few k's where some new faces started to come to the front.
  7. I had a work with him at the finish. He needs to learn to let some others do the work so he can sprint at the finish. He was strong the whole way through but faded towards the end.
  8. John Degenkolb - Argos Shimano
  9. A mate of mine managed to drop his car key somewhere on the trails at Northern Farms yesterday. Please keep a lookout or let me know if you've seen them. It's a single Suzuki key with a small keying. Thanks!

    2012 Ironman

Not much of a runner, eh? Or is that in anticipation of bonking?
  12. Will keep a lookout.
  13. Got a route you could recommend?
  14. Thanks, TNT
  15. It beats starting a whole new thread...
  16. Anyone know if this route is still okay? Headed to Hazyview for the long weekend and need to get a couple long road rides in. Any recommendations?
  17. Have to agree with this as I had this experience just last week. Was looking to drop some $ and get bike-setup done. After 2 separate trips to Troisport nobody helped me. Mike at SBR was excellent and had me sorted out less than 24 hours after I walked into his shop!

Check me if I'm wrong but it's actually closer to 1300. For some reason one guy got a much higher number than the rest.
  19. Rudy project available online here: www.kinetics.co.za
  20. "This unique, trendy and stylish looking bracelet exchanges electrons in your body..." "The C-PRIME technology does not exchange electrons" Huh?
  21. My 2c would be it actually sounds more like a patellar tendinopathy. ITB is generally on the lateral side of the knee whilst PT is more from the inferior pole of the patella to the top of the tibia (shin bone). It's not likely to just go away by itself and, whilst bike setup may be the cause and aggravate it, changing it may not help the problem itself. Changing the fore/aft of your saddle may help. I'd say physio and then Biokinetics. Physio to sort out pain and inflammation, Bio to sort out knee muscle imbalances and biomechanics. If your Bio knows cycling they can check your setup too. PM if you want me to help find someone in your area...
  22. Anyone here ever done this before?
  23. At least the taxis don't circle you first?
  24. Ya - next trip to Durbs. None of this shark bait talk.
  25. I hadn't wanted to wait until 70.3 in Jan to get my first sea swim in but it seems I may have to. I fear this thread has been shark-jacked
