Riders doing the “Sani2C” as well as the “Joburg2C” will without doubt gain an advantage in terms of preparation and to sharpen for the abovementioned multi stage races. It can also support the preparation of cyclists taking part in the annual “Mzansi-Tour”. Not all mountain bike enthusiasts are in the position to take part in the Cape Epic tour which takes place simultaneously, so this is a good alternative. 3Mountains cater for all kinds of riders. The longer distances cater for the more experienced riders and the shorter distances for the fun-rider and less experience riders. The Schools category provides the opportunity to all young riders under the age of 18 to participate in one of the few stage races which offer a category for youth in the country.     Euro Tour 2014

    Hi All AfriCycle-Tours plan to take yet another group of young riders to Europe in 2014. Riders in the u/16 and u/18 male age groups are invited to join the group. The planned tour will take place from the 26th of June untill the 9th of August. As in previouse years we will be based in the town of Geleen (Netherlands) in the province of Limburg. Attached you will find a tour program as well as a breakdown of the tour costs. The tour will only take place if we have a minimum of 7 comitted riders by the 15th of May as we have to pay deposits for accommodation and transport by then. Total Cost for the tour = 3000Euro (All inclusive) 50% payable by 15 May. It is important to note that the cost is estimated in Euro due to the ever changing exchange rate. Riders will be taking part in 6 official age category races. They will also parttake in weekly racing on Landgraaf, a local circuit where al age groups race for plus minus 90 minutes. The average speeds at Landgraaf range between 42 and 47km/h. Riders will also parttake in a weekly Track race with their road bikes on a 500m outdoor track. 60minutes of racing again all ages, at average speeds between 40-45km/h will hone their bunch racing skills. All of the above is in preparation for the Tour de Assen.This is a 6 day tour in their age groups.   7. Sorry for that. we did the route in a car. the guys had to stop and have a look at some interesting spots. Thats why you see those dips.
