Its also a Cervelo... and you will have a R5000 balance I dont think disk brakes in this price bracket will be an upgrade. Rather get a better rim brake bike and one that is amazing condition. A cheaper well maintained bike would beat a poorly maintained expensive bike any day. Also with more expensive group sets you going to have more maintenance costs when things go wrong.

I avoid main road as much as I can and only join from under the bridge by the build it. But I then take the constantia road and do boyes drive and on main road by kalk bay. Only coming home I take main road all the way coz it’s quicker. sunset ride , just meant a late ride . I’ll try the Melkbos route 1 day. Campsbay to chappies also seems like a good 1. I guess the best way to know is to just explore

wynberg/kenilworth normally do main road all the way to Simonstown and beyond...mornings are fine as the road not yet busy...but im wondering if its still feasible from 4:30pm onwards...I also dont mind parking somewhere and riding where its more quiet...

My buddy is hooked on weekend rides and asked me if we must do a sunset ride...I am a bit hesitant as I feel sunset seems more dangerous (visibility, more traffic, criminality, drunk drivers) If I am wrong please advise...if there is some good options or routes let me know. this is for road biking.

thanks guys...did more digging about the magnet and my pedal is magentic so I can use any magnet that can fit in that space....will be easier to just find 1 here...thanks for the offers

anyone have a spare 1 like this lying around? its just a magnet that fits in the pedal for cadence sensor. Its the magnet for the Sigma R2 Duo. or direct me to a local supplier or a hack...ive never used it before as I never had the magnet

I saw another ad today for 8500. I saved the pic to do a reverse search and your stolen bike posting showed up. Went back to the ad but it was gone. Pity I didn’t get the sellers name. Used my app so I can’t see the history...ad is deleted...thats why it not showing in recently viewed in FB marketplace app

red flags to look out for pixelated image. reverse searching usually shows the original pic cant format a decent ad. probably an account created in 2024..biggest red flag after price price too low

I was thinking selling as is maybe someone can use the 105 5700 groupset , wheels, fork. even with crack it feels solid does not bend...

i tried. i knew the guy...he said he didnt know about it i didnt even see it until the cloth i used got stuck in the paint when washing the bike...anyway told him ill sell it as is and if i dont get my cost price then he can pay me the difference...now I got offers that are short of the full price...and he says he battling financially thats why he selling his stuff bla bla bla...im on my own on this one...the risks of buying used i guess. Using it on my trainer for now and its very nice tho, pity about the crack.

Bought this bike on marketplace and only when washing it did I notice this crack on the frame Is that carbon frame cracked or just paint crack and carbon is ok? Any ideas what I should do to recoup my costs? not going to repair as it wont be economical for me...rather buy another bike. My thoughts is just to sell as is...

Mines got no internal cabling. Hmm maybe I should look into it. but the speedster has internal cabling so it’s definitely going to be a complicated job.

I would probably upgrade again next year so didn’t think it would be worth it? is it expensive to do a swap?
