When I was still at school and stupid my disc brakes were touching. I though. WD40 would fix this noise. It worked a charm. For the noise that is. The braking efficiency was ZERO ZULCH NADA NOTHING. So what I did was put the pads in petrol (AVGAS) for an hour or two. Then I baked them in the oven at 220 degrees for about 30min. Did this twice and I was back to having working brakes. Keep us posted on your progress you making in this regard!

I grabbed alot of brake and just leaned waaaaay back. My saddle was under my stomach just to get the weight as far back as possible

Okay so the trailseeker series has ended with a bang! This last event at Hakahana stumped me. Was way harder than van gaalens. Those two climbs really took the good out of me! To the folks who cheated between those two climbs at the water point. Not cool. May you all have punctures for the next year. 3 times a ride! Other than the cheaters I really do not have any complaints. Its was tough and hot! Well done to everyone one involved in making this a huge success Cant wait for next year!

Youll have to do the drive to fpc gift acres today. There will be a table with substitution forms. Fill it in. If you do have a number board take it along. Otherwise take cash to buy one. Just make sure you have his details for the substitution!

According to eventry just before cut off there was about 1500 entries. Try phoning the organisers and see what you can do.

Just buy the no tubes tubeless tape. No need for the strip! Tape up the spoke holes! Use the wide tape! Pop in tubeless valves! Put the tire back on. Add sealant. Go to the garage and pump it up with a compressor. Shake rattle and roll the wheel. And bobs your uncle. Or so you hope. Best of luck

I dont want to tell Tim and the blokes what to do. But I see Hakahana has increased the number of entries to 2500. I just think to continue the good vibe they received after this race they might want to reconsider. But on the hind side ive just entered. Hell yeah'!!!

Definitely the best between number 2 3 and 4. Loved this race. Big up to Eric. That man knows what he is doing!

Only did the 40km. Started G batch but it was really great! A few slight delays but not due to bad course layout but more rider skill! Other than that BIG thumbs up!

Back to the best road to take. Im going to do the following after having checked the road race route map. Ill take the magalies highway upto pelindaba. Right at the bridge. Left a stop sign. Go through schoemansville. Across the dam wall. Left at the 4 way stop Continue on this road until I reach van gaalens There is a stretch where you are going to be on the same road as the race. But thats my take on another good route
