  1. Hi Odinson, don't be a P#$@. Contacts don't work for me, hence the glasses.
  2. Yip, stumpy evo 29er.
Dit sou nice gewees het as hulle net so bietjie breƫr was though.
  4. I swear by the MM's, especially for terrain like at Hakahana. Just don't expect them to last long.
  5. Hi Evolve, Yes, this was discussed. The gate issues is being addressed, specifically making sure that they won't be able to get through underneath.
  6. Hi there guys. Good to see that there are so many of you willing to get involved. I would like to inform you that from an official meeting was held today between Tshwane Nature conservation (Groenkloof Nature Reserve), Friends of Klapperkop and the neighbouring estates around the Klapperkop reserve. In the short term the following has been and will be done: - Guards have been posted at the gates of Klapperkop since the beginning of the week. People entering must also now sign in. - A team from Groenkloof have sweeped the area to look for any indication if vagrants have been overnigting, which they have found not to be the case. - Regular patrols will be now be done over the weekends, specifically over peak training hours, ie early morning and late afternoon. Long terms plans will be made soon and we will keep everyone informed. We are all very passionate about keeping Klapperkop a safe destination for cyclist and runners and appreciate any feedback. If you would like to get in contact for more information or would like to get involved to assist, please contact City of Tshwane Nature Conservation - David Boshoff at 082 789 1399 or mail him at davidb at tshwane dot co dot za
  7. Yeah, they will have a 650b at the test the best for you to give a bash. You are also welcome to come and give my Stumpy a ride if you want to pull through for a ride at Groenkloof. Let me know.
  8. Hi there, I would suggest that you give them both a good ride before making the decision. The chaps from the big S will be in JHB and PTA in December for their Test the best session. From personal experience of putting both the 650b and 29er versions through it's paces I can honestly say that the 29er Enduro is the best bike ever made. You can climb with the best and bomb down without any fear or worry. It's the one bike to do it all, and you won't have any excuse not to do that road gap/massive feature when you get there. Also, the 650b really did not feel that much different to my 26er, where the difference was night and day with the 29er Enduro. Anyway, you can't go wrong with either, they are just that good.
  9. So it's official... http://www.pinkbike....-650b-2015.html
  10. Hi Dale, I am currently running Formula RX cylinders (which are similar to the R1 brakes) pared with The One calipers and they are freaking fantastic. Will definitely recommend them, however they are K*K expensive to when it comes to parts etc. Had to replace the lever after a crash and it almost cost the same as a complete XT brake.
  11. ...and Giant with good ol' Johnny-T
  12. Anyone traveling from JHB/PTA area for this one? Either catch a lift or drive with me?
  13. Freight innovations are pretty good. I use them at least a couple of times a month to get bikes between CT and Pretoria. Give Craig a shout - sales at freight-innovations dot co dot za
  14. Been using the Fox Ranger shorts for a while now and they are super comfortable and light. Come with nut-hugger bibshorts but can be taken out if you want to replace with other brand.
  15. I agree. Stop bitching about wheel size and go ride your bikes.
  16. Would be pretty cool!
  17. Hi chaps. Have a look at the range of helmets from Nutcase. They are comfy and not as hot as normal skate helmets. http://www.camissabicycles.co.za/p/nutcase-helmets-south-africa.html
  18. Thanks for the link. I'll definitely come for the ride on Sunday. You guys riding in the morning or the afternoon? Cheers
  19. Hi Erasmus. Sorry, that's a typo. Should read "riding alone"...
  20. Hi chaps. Recently moved to Pretoria and want to know if it's safe to go riding along at 139 in Waterkloof? If not, are there anyone going for a session this weekend that I can join? Cheers Heinrich
