  14. These look good, compared to the tangled mess I took out. Even the spring mechanism was toast...
  15. Washed mine twice yesterday, again today and still mud coming out of holes and spaces. Flooded with the Tool in a can, loosens, cleans and Lubes too.
  16. MUD, MUD, MUD,MUD, Glorious mud!! Did the short route 40.78km (started as 35 and told at the maybe 38.5?? Who's guess) Was supposed to do the 70km, thanks to those organizers stating it will start at 8. Delayed 30mins. A blessing however! Jcza, how did you get a water? Better treasure that medal! Put it down to good training, fitness bike skills and another day at the big VG, All good! P.S apologies only saw the castle light sponsor riders posting last night, otherwise would have come past.
  17. TOPWINE : So why don't CSA regulate bicycles to "post man pat type units", supplied by X factory............ Bull K@K Rather spent the money on expensive bike / specialised training / riding clinic's - hence development of the sport. Enhancers are short term... and many side affects (And if you need those extra few grams, visit the porcelain prior to riding)
  18. Nice one, another afkak! Awesome, looking forward to it! All probability it will be a scorcher of a day too.

  20. To all, have an awesome ride.. Should be awesome, best of luck and ENJOY!
  21. Vittorio Brumotti set a new Guinness World Record. At 19 o'clock on October 18, 2012, 100% Brumotti is ready to begin the incredible climb of the highest tower of the earth, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. A final check with the timekeepers and the Emaar Staff, who will follow the feat to ensure everything will run smoothly. At 20 the official start of the Judge. The first few floors are dealt with smoothly. The limited space does not allow for mistakes nor to take risks: he calculates every single step to reduce strain and maintain the focus. Everyting goes according to plan and Vittorio keeps a good pace overcoming the steps smoothly. The high humidity rate takes the toll on the athlete and makes the feat even harder. After the hundredth floor a strange noise comes from the rear wheel. On the 101 floor the inconvenience happens: the carbon support of the rear brake cracks. Vittorio could change the bike, but he decides to continue for almost 10 floors yet without relying on the rear brake. Finally the bike change and without losing concentration, he starts again to tackle the hardest part. There are still 50 floors to reach the top. The latest ramps are very hard and Vittorio starts experiencing fatigue. After two hours there are still a few meters to get the altitude of 828 meters. 100% Brumotti “grits his teeth” and reaches the milestone of the 160th floor in the incredible time of 2 hours and 20 minutes, climbing 3700 steps. A great satisfaction for his eighth Guinness World Record achievement. Amazing !
