udxCop. Fondriest himself is a former world road champion. Like nearly all bikes most of their frames are also manufactured in the east. Not all. The do the painting in Italy and the factory who make the frames in the East have some Italians living there making sure that the quality is top class standard. I can assure you that Fondriest is going to be one of the top brands in the world soon. They have a fantastic backup service. Fondriest himself will be in Cape Town during the time of the Argus and we will have a few rides with him. Great guy and great machine.

TwiggyzSA I would like to correct you if I may. We are definitely not in the UPPER - UPPER market. Our range starts from a 12". MTB and does end in the upper class but we carry the complete range of Merida starting from +- R 4000 till the top, we carry the full range of Giant, starting from R 3500 till the top, the same goes for GT,Titan, Ave-lance ect and then our own range , Fondriest where you can buy a racing bike starting at R 12000. I am sure that you are aware that we try our out most to beat any price and cell our spares mostly at wholesale price if possible.

These complains sounds very familiar to me and reminds me how most of the wholesalers were against us at CWC when we started the online sales. Remember the caught case with Mavic , which we won in court. The " so called cartel " how certain of them tried to force certain wholesalers not to supply CWC ect ect. Not so long ago our account were closed by a certain wholesaler and distributor because we were selling Maxis tires at a very good price. Thanks to CRC , ourselves and a few other online stores around the world certain wholesalers has drop their prices BUT still not enough. Thanks to your support we are still growing and learning plenty from CRC.

Our countries constitution makes it very clear that you can import anything as long as it is not a "copy " item and as long as you pay your duties. Fortunately for us we have no duties except if you import complete cycles - which we do not do - or on all clothing, helmets , shoes and plastic water bottles.

I am sure that we at Chris Willemse Cycles would have made the expo exited but unfortunately the organizers do not want us to be at the show. They have had to many pressure from certain suppliers in the past and turn our application down in the past.They made it very clear that certain wholesalers and dealers complained about us and that they would not take stands if we are at the expo. Sorry 94.7 riders. We would have like to be at the expo BUT please keep your money for the Argus.

Thanks Kanga but let me assure you that we tread everyone the same. We sell bikes from 12" up to the most expensive machine. But the most important point is that you were not happy with your treatment and now it is up to me and my team to make sure that it does not happen again. Hi Riyadh, Kanga and all other Hubers. Thank you for bringing this under my attention. We can only grow if we get feedback from you as a cyclist. That is why we have a "customer care " department and my daughter, Melanie is looking after that very carefully. Unfortunately we are depended on sales people and everybody is not always as good as the other one. If I can only the complain as soon as possible and the name of the salesman then I can and will take action. We try our best to give great service and need your help to tell us where we are going wrong or when you do not get the service that you are looking for. Insideman. I don't change my mind. But I am sure that you must understand that if a sponsor has a rider now in its team then he cant cancel that contract. That s why I made the following very clear : "We are starting a small team in 2013 and will never take on a rider that has been caught positive". Current sponsors can say that all new riders that get caught will not get a place in their 2013 contracts. I do not see anything wrong with that. This is nothing to do with publicity. If you followed my career then you will see that I have always been totally against dope because many of the top riders in my time were caught positive and I were always against dopers.

If all the teams work together then we can be the leaders in the world doing something good for cycling.

All I say is that we will not take any rider in our team that has been caught doping. Not now and not later. If the teams do not want to take the challenge then they are the ones who will hopefully loose credibility in the eyes of the public and most probably their sponsors. I will even put this proposal to the sponsors as well.

I am aware of that but we can say from 1st Jan 2013. Anyone that get caught is out for good. No contract at all. We will not even offer a sponsorship to anyone that has been caught in the past or in the future.

We at Chris Willemse Cycles will have a team again for 2013 and we would like to make the following challenge to Malcom Lange - owner of Team Bonita, Douglas Ryder - owner of team MTM/Qhubeka, Dean Edwards - owner team Tassol/Solar and all other team sponsors to join us with the following statement. We promise that we will never ever give any rider who were caught for doping a contract in our team. Not even if his suspension is over. If the above mentioned team owners and all the other are serios about stop doping in our sport then they should support us in this statement. I am also going to put it in writing to all the teams and will make it public which teams support this challenge. If we can all stand together on this then we can send a message to the rest of the world that we are serious about stopping the dopers in SA.

This is a question and suggestion for all sports. It would be very interesting if all sports get tested like cycling . I will assure you all that it will be chaos in most of the sporting codes.

1. Suspend them for live. 2. Change our laws and let them get a criminal record. 3. All South African sponsors should get together and sign an agreement that should any rider get caught positive then no team will ever except him back. That will mean no more teams for them and this could also be followed world wide. Lets get your opinion
