Thanks guys. I was hoping for about R3500 at least. The groupset was around that alone. I'm not selling it to try make money on it but am moving to a smaller place and cant take all my bikes with me. I will PM the vintage guys.

I did make it for my bike. The bike is not sitting correctly in the photo because I measured it with the bike that didn't have a seat post at the time (Duh, Rookie mistake) and therefore won't sit in there without me moving it down. Hahahaha

Hi fellow Hubbers I have a Retro Pinarello road bike that I have nursed over the years into this older framed bike with new components so it not only looks hot as hell but goes nicely as well. I'm in the process of wanting to sell it and not sure what is a fair price is to ask. I know what I have paid for the re-vamp so to speak but would like some different opinions please. It is made up of the following: Pinarello Surprise frame - Alum with Pinarello Carbon fork, SRAM Apex groupset, still new. Black, Sella Italia SL seat white to match the bike, FSA seatpost, Amoeba Scud Headset and Scud bars (as far as I can remember, they are the oval ones on the top of the bars), Blackburn computor, Magnesium clip in pedals, Rigida Rims - Red to match the bike's Red White and Blue colourway. Sorry Admin. I do not want to start this whole lynch mob all over again and I'm apologizing in advance. You can close this topic straight away. I just wanted to say one more thing. I in no way threatened this kid. I sent the mom a sms saying that the way I see it she can either let me rightfully collect what I have paid for or I can press charges against him for theft. As another hubber said, I'm in Cape Town and he is in Pta so where exactly did I threaten him in school. I have since this whole thread started up like Wildfire, got confirmation that the bike was sold to someone else after they had my money and prior to the initial phone call this morning for a higher price. So I have requested my cash back and just wanted to say a heartfelt thanks to all the Hubbers that stood together and gave this woman hell on my behalf. I will definitely give him a negative rating and request since he is "Under Age" that his IP Address be monitored and Profile removed so that the rest of us decent people who legitimately buy and sell on the Hub don't get burnt by this Laaitjie again. R1000 with a big dent on the Top Tube

Because I was buying the bike to break up and use parts for a fixie I am building. All the spare parts that I did'nt use were going to a another bike I was going to give to a friend who cant afford a bike but wants to build himself a cheapie. It was going to save me money and a heck load of time to go and find all the individual parts

I sent his mom a message saying that I will arrange a collection at my cost or lay a charge against him. She kakked me out and told me not to threaten her. She said that I went into a deal knowing he was a minor. I did not know this. Nowhere on his Hub profile or on his Whatsapp does it give his age. Feeling properly shafted here.

They wont even let me arrange my own courier to get it to Cpt

I've just had a word with the guys mom. He is under 21 but not far off. She is throwing it in my face that she didn't give him permission but in speaking to his Aunt who owns the courier company as well as a Whatsapp message from him (saying that someone did offer more for the bike) I know they have found a buyer who has agreed to pay more. My gripe is that all of this has happened after it was negotiated and paid for. They will not even allow me to arrange my own courier. Is this grounds for theft if I have paid and they will not send (regardless of his age). Hi fellow Hubbers I'm reaching out to all my fellow hubbers as a newbie who has only used this site a few times for some help. I purchased a bike advertised a week or so ago, I have a whole string of Whatsapp messages liaison between myself and the buyer detailing price, terms etc. I have paid for the bike and have sent proof of payment and received a confirmation from him that he received it and was awaiting the couriers to send the bike down to Cape Town as discussed in my messages with him. Now an angry family member has stepped in and wants to transfer my money back to me because they feel he has been taken advantage of and can get more for the bike.......after my payment has gone through. The original plan was for this family member to help out with the courier to Cape Town (since they owned or worked for a courier company) but will not even give me the opportunity to arrange my own courier at my cost now ??????? Please guys, give me some info here, and if the Hub administrators could step in here and give me their 10 cents worth, that would be great. Had I not paid and organised all of this, it would have been a different story but since this is a paid and Done deal in my eyes I don't want to let this go. Thanks Wayne

Bring it to CPT next and I'm in

DLZ by Tv on the Radio caught my attention on my Ipod this morning.

I totally got jooked. I did my first Argus last year and finished around 4:25 because I got both a rear wheel and front wheel puncture (Training partner that was weaker than me got 3:50). All my regular training partners got Q's and X's and I got YY. I get that my finishing time wasnt that great but someone else that was 15 minutes faster than me got a single digit number and hasnt ridden any seeded events since the last Argus. Does this sound right as Im not too amped to start at 9:05 with all the MTbs. I have emailed them and am hoping for a reply.
