  3. Hi, I'm looking to change my headset bearings, I did have the bearing details written down somewhere but now when I need it I cannot find it. Plan was to pick up new bearings on the way home. Does anyone know the numbers etc? Save me having to remove the bearings first before buying new. Thanks
  4. Hi, i rode Van Gaalens three weeks back and noticed a new route option and would like to know where does it go to? Post cycling up the concrete strips, the surface changes to stone. Just after this transition you encounter a new path which forks you to the right. Not sure if it’s a route back down or an option for a different route up? Can someone give me some insight?

  6. Did their 2013 and 2015 event, and now I'm back again for 2017. It's a great race, tuff long and will test you. Pace yourself, eat often and prepare for head wind
  7. Hydraulic brakes upside down for an extended period of time, not sure that's the greatest idea. Air bubbles will collect / move to the caliper versus the reservoir.
  8. Thanks everyone, been an eye opening experience. Lesson: If you are going to toss your bike do it properly, replacing just a frame isn't a quick process. Turn around time on a new bike is a few day, just a frame 7 weeks and very expensive.

  11. Post a fall I managed to crack my frame. 2013 Scott scale 920, insurance have advised that they don't repair, They only replace, which I support! The race is now on to get this resolved quickly, I'm losing cycling time. I'm looking to get a formal quote from a shop who has a great relationship with Scott SA who can source the frame ASAP Can you guys help with a few recommendations Update - I stay in Randpark Ridge and work in Sandton but happy to travel around if needed Thanks

  13. Hi, has anyone ridden here recently and if so how are the trails looking. Previously you could choose between Blue, red and yellow trails. Is this still the case?

  15. It's been unfortunate for sure, but to be honest to anyone reading this post, its best if the whole story is told and then they can decide for themselves.
  16. Just when things were looking up, you open your parcel and the delivery is incomplete! What happened to the Gloves CWC? P.s I haven't phoned, haven't emailed, I'm annoyed and venting, because to add to my experience. This morning I got an sms from the couriers. advising that the goods were out on delivery. The stated address listed the completely wrong suburb. So i had to sort that out as well. To be continued........
  17. CWC have been in contact, my order was dispatched yesterday, I'm happy with that feedback. Regarding ordering anonymously, you might need to check for bugs on your website, from my perspective, i was logged in, selected free delivery for orders over R1000 and provided my new address. As a safety measure, I have asked for a copy of my invoices to be emailed to me.
  18. I order almost everything online these days, and not everyone gets in right all the time, my issue is the communication. Why go to the effort of deleting my mail, but don't take the time to respond.
  19. Agree i could have called, but cwc are playing in the digital space, with clients like me that aren't looking for a hassle. Select, pay and within a day or two the goods arrive. If i have a question, i will drop a quick mail.
  20. Before I get flamed, by the blindly faithfully. Everyone has an off day and CWC are having one with my order, and yes I have tried to resolve this directly with them prior and if you read my whole post you will understand that I don’t have a vendetta or an axe to grind. I’m frustrated by the lack of response or priority given to following up on my order placed of the 24 September and I have now switched to another method which should change the CWC priority. Quick history, Order placed on the 24th, on the 26th I followed up with CWC because I couldn’t see the order in my History, on the 28th I sent a follow-up email as I hadn’t yet received a response. I then got a response advising that my order was ready for collection, I responded and advised that the order was meant to be delivered to my address in Gauteng which I provided again. To which I received a reply of “Not a problem, I will send it off today” My follow up of the 30th is unanswered and my follow up of the 3rd was deleted without being read. No tracking details have been provided, so I’m completely in the dark.
