  1. The CAT groups did look nice and big, but the funride was a joke. Just one group of about 50? riders. 4 of us sprinted and caught the CAT IV guys pretty quickly and rode with them the rest of the way, otherwise would have been a long day out. Probably won't do a funride with them again.

  2. Guys, I did send a polite note to the club. I know its not the clubs fault. I looked for the guy after the race to chat to him, but couldn't find him.

Also, I say this was not the first time, because the exact same thing happened last year, I addressed the guy and he was a chop about it.

  3. (Previously known as "City Cycling Chop")

I was again disappointed by 2 riders from the City Cycling Club.

2 guys throwing their rubbish off the side of the road during the tour de Philadelphia.

    Back race number 712, about2time tag 228.

This is not the first complaint about riders from this club.

  4. So I was a little disappointed with registration today...

They made me drive all the way to Durbanville, stand in a queue for 30 minutes and then said it's for league riders only. The lady with the fun ride numbers hadn't arrived yet. So I went home.

I hope I can register tomorrow morning. (They don't say you can on the website)

  5. So some guy's dog attacked me on the mountain yesterday. It bit my leg, but not too badly. But it punctured my tyre on the side wall beyond repair. The guy said he wanted to replace it for me, but changed his mind when I said it was R600.

If you see a dog heading for you, kick it in the head, before it bites you or your bike. That's what I will be doing.

  6. Yip, it must fit in with the rest of your training program. I find that I can't fit more than one solid climbing session in per week.

We can change the day if everyone agrees. Sundays are my off days, so Mondays are good for me at the moment.

The pace up the hills will depend on the group that you ride with. Flat out vs. tempo is all relative. But the climbs are relatively short, so there will only be 2 or 3 minutes between most riders.
