  1. Has anybody read the latest CAR magazine? There is a bit of a argument arising between a cyclist and some guy who seems to claim the road as his. I agree we shouldn't take over the road when there is only two or three guys/ladies on a training ride but damn.....if you are thirty or so in a group....what should we do.?? mbaymike2007-11-01 06:45:30
  2. damn....that must be one desperate bloke....hope the bike was something special at least....no use in being caught with a old "bommer" between your legs....lol
Daai een hy maak vir my WHA!
  4. daai bitch van 'n klim is so 4.5km lank....probleem is hy het 'n klomp draaie so mens sien nooit die einde nie totdat jy so 100 meter of so van bo af is...
  5. Very impressive.....congrats and hope you enjoy every minute!!!
  6. Went for a ride on Sunday and decided to Groot Brak Hoogte again....here goes.... Still further up.... almost there.... Tony did a gig at a wedding the previous night so he had a bit of a late night....nevertheless...we had a good ride....We will also soon be kitted out in our Trellidor Cycling kits...will post some pics ASAP for all 2 c
  7. it's like they say in afrikaans....wie nie hoor nie moet maar voel....it's there own fault.
  8. damn...that is one helluva training ride. don't know the area but 170km is not around the corner.
  9. sorry about the quality of the pics...they are all taken with a cellphone
  10. Hi all....did a great ride on sunday morning (yep after the boks took the win) only started at 08h00. The morning started quite cloudy and we thought we might have some rain. BUT....turned out to be quite hot and got a serious tan. on the turn back we had a head wind that showed no mercy. Very nice undulating ride with a few hills. those of you who have ridden in the mosselbay area will know groot brak hoogte and klein brak on the way back. with a head wind it is a good ride to get the quads burning..but all worth it. I will have some more detailed pics of the hills and so on next time here goes This was halfway up the Groot Brak hoogte. go legs go!! Over the top and on the way to Glentana....fresh air and mountains On the way back to Mosselbay....close to Glentana...this is where the head wind started. till next time....
  11. Hell no thanks....that is some hill. why does it look like old helshoogte pass or am I wrong...doing the Burger Tour on 2nd Dec.
  12. Yes the ride to George is not something to laugh at....Groot Brak hoogte is quite a tough one if you are not used to hills....about 4.5km long, twisting and feels never ending. But luckily not very steep. The route from Hartenbos - Groot Brak - up the hill - back through Glentana and past rheebok and tergniet is a brilliant ride. Undulating and about 65km of good riding.
  13. Pleasure Mandibles. You should make it up the hill quite easy. what is the website where the details of the tour are posted....I am curious to get more details.
  14. Mandibles it does sound like THE ONE....maybe ronelle can shed some more light but if it comes from town I have no doubt that it is the marsh street hill....it is not long....just hard on cold legs and death on tired legs....take your pic....lol....if you can do suikerbossie you can do marsh street.
  15. Hi Ronelle, Good to hear from another mbay local. will try and come around some time....maybe you can join us on a ride over the weekend....it would be good if Pinnacle Point could arrange a race or even weekend for cycling. We could even have some kind of expo or something...at least it won't be as noisy as the Buffalo Rally PS. nice pics!!
  16. I take it you are referring to the marsh street hill that leaves town and goes up towards the spar and so on. that is a killer...have not had the guts to tackle it yet....lol
  17. De Bakke hill is the one that goes up towards the KFC, Mugg and Bean etc. if you carry on with that road it goes through to Heiderand and Dana Bay Not too long though....about 2.5km.
  18. Hi, the pics were taken on the way up De Bakke hill and just after the hill when the sun really started coming up. The first pic was taken just opposite santos. Why you ask...do you know the area??
  19. hehehe....yep tony rides a trek OCLV and I ride a Scott Speedster S2. everyday is a blessing when you have a chance to ride with the sun coming up.
  20. Hi all...went for another early morning ride. Had a good ride with friend Tony. Worked on some leg speed today and had a head wind so we had to work a little harder. Enjoy the pics....not everyday you can see the sunrise over the ocean and be on your bike at the same time....by the way...we are in mosselbay Start of the ride Sunrise over Mosselbay Tony having a well deserved sip!!
