  1. I am not with you???
  2. I am not trying to debate whether it works or not. I am convinced it works, just need some guidance on what to buy and where the best place is to buy it.
  3. You really think so? I have changed my jockey wheels to the kcnc ceramic ones, and was amased at how stiff the old ones were compared to the ceramis ones. I ma convinced as well - it does work!
  4. Now I've read up on the advantages of using ceramic bearings, and I've decides to go this way starting out with my BB. How do you know which BB's are compatible with your cranks and bike. I have a Ultegra Crank with dura ace bottom bracket currently (2007 10 speed). Any techincal guys or gals out there that could shed some light on this one?
  5. Indeed I am! No hard feelings I hope. Guess my occupation?
  6. I added all the weights you listed (Exl the stem) and the total came to 7.16kg. Even though the listing excluded a stem, you claimed that your bike, weighed at TWO bike shops, weighed 7.16kg. Now explain that.... How is this possible? Did you actually weigh the parts or did you get it from weightweenies? Or did you weigh the bike and make up the weight of the parts? And heres your chance to come clean - Did you actually weigh this bike at TWO bike shops?
  7. I suppose if you take it to the same TWO bike shops now, it will weigh 7.347kg..........or am I loosing the plot?
  8. And you will still get to 7.16kg????
  9. How is it that the stem weighs nothing then, and you still get the figures to balance? I will beleive that when I see it. Send a pic to prove it. Also attach a recent calibration certificate for the scales used. Or you know what ? - Forget it. As long as you are happy with it and you can sleep at night, its fine with me.
  10. I bet you your bike for mine if you put it on a calibrated scale it will weigh more than 7.16kg.
  11. Next thing you know you riding without a shorts and no saddle.
  12. Dirtbreath - at last someone that shares my sentiments. I cant agree more.
  13. I think I will go with the GT then. I am not waiting 3 months to make a decision.
  14. Slowbee thats fair enough, but questions are free and responses optional. Bike shops dont always give you the truth, most of the times they just want to make the sale.
  15. Do you have any suggestions on which model?
  16. What is the best value for money entry level MTB? I have come up with the GT Avalanche Expert as the best option so far. Retrailing for about R8K. Are there any better deals out there.
