  2. you only need the chain and sprockets.
  3. Unless I am very much mistaken the Spanish Cycling Federation is forwarding a proposal to ban Cuntador for 1 yr. the UCI can still ban him for 2yrs... it appears he may be able to ride in local races that do not cont for UCIpoint after his Spanish year.
  4. I have found that the Continental Mountain King, Hutchinson Python (New) and Vredestein Killer bee do not delaminate.
  5. Shoe!! After preaching the gospel for 8yrs, finally the disciples are lining up.
  6. You gonna argue with a Mampara?
  7. great bike, excellent choice
  8. SAucer, isn'the the weight weenie who save 15gr on a wheel and tyre and then looses that stagerace thingy dueto punctures...? [whips out credibility manual] nope, no Sauser in there. he is a sponsored rider, he says what he sponsors pay him to say and that includes his "bog"
  9. Forgive me if I sound snotgat but I service my own Lefty. I was jsut lucky enough to spend time on weekends in a maaitjies bike shop when I lived near Wrexham in Wales some years ago. Locally I think "Fiekie" is the best. William knows a heck of a lot about the LEfty but even he farms them off to Omnico. the tools are expensive, the job is time consuming and often the owners don't know whats (if anything) is wrong with it. So my first call would be too Fiekie. Nour At Cape Cycle Systems is also good but I am not sure if they still take on Lefty work. So cutting a long story short. I'd rate Fiekie as thebest Lefty mech in the country I'd give William a call for sure since I think he is also brilliant with them If he does nothave the time, Omnico is brilliant, Russell Palm is your contact man.
  10. Hi Ja they do still use it but they are alwaysunder treat of being evicted. there's a couple of Ou tannies who can;t handle the sound of a hairdryer and 2Stroke petrol at 7am in the morning...
  11. Of the three bikes you list, the Cannondale is possibly the strongest. One of my cycling buddies gets a New Scott like every year. I think they're gatvol of him because theytold him the current frame is his last. MErida, good value. Cannondale Scalpel 3, well whats my name sugar...
  12. Ok great thanks, thats kind ofyou. Will bare the offer in mind when I next need to take it through. Althogh I love going there myself just a for a chat and cup of coffee. I make the most of my day trip and spend some time flying my model plane at Helderberg Radio Flyers
  13. ya sorry crank. eating popcorn and typing is confusing
  14. I don't, I live in Lakeside which is 42Km away. SO when I say William is brilliant remember that I am driving a moerse long way out of my area to go there! HCW....Don't mention the war [spits]
  15. More development* = bigger gear bigger gear = I must use more energy to turn it. Therefore I better be a damn site fitter than the O I'm trying to beat If I want to make use of the development* THere is no such thing as getting something for nothing** *Development is the linear distance a bike moves per revolution of the wheel for a given gearing. ** I wish someone would tell the annoying Vodacom ****hole who keeps phoning me withe "free" cellphone deals.
  16. as long as you love your bikeit will be fast or must be red

  18. Noah took the animals in 2x2...
  19. William at Williams Bike Shop - what a legend, and genuinely nice guy William's Bike Shop Shop 8 B Oak Street Somerset West, 7130 South Africa Tel: +27 21 8510919 My only choice in Somerset West
  20. sponsored rider say what the sponsor pays them to say. In this case they're paid tosay nonsense. I wrote alng story about 29ers a couple of years ago. Conclusion is they are notfaster than 26'er but they feel nice in me circumstances. If I was given one I'd ride it. If I had to spend my own money, I'll pass. give me 650B (french size)
