  1. Thanks Nobody... Just one final thing. I'm going to throw the money @ getting tubeless and reckon the CWC offer for R700 for 2 x crossmarks & sealant is pretty good. But also saw the Nevegal UST's for sale at this joint for R159 which seemed pretty good but then have to fork out for the fitting kit. http://www.buycycle.co.za/buyparts/tyres-mtb/kenda-en-2/kenda-nevegal-tubeless-2.1-26-kenda.html Cheers.
  2. Thanks so much for the info on the specials and esp the Tubeless call. Legend.
  3. Thanks for the info from everyone. Seems like there is a good combo out there. The rims are stock std DT Swiss 445D, not tubeless. RudoJ: the Sams sound like a good option and a great price. Time to head for the LBS.
  4. Honestly i wouldn't stress at all. I'm getting my 65yr old mom to bring me an Orange 5 over from the UK and have had various friends come through with parts and frames without a worry. No one has asked anything and they just say 'it's theirs'. Want to get a Kona King Zing if anyone sees one!
  5. Hi all, I need to replace my rear tyre (and possibly the front) on my Scott. Just wondering what people recommend. Not tubeless. Heard good things about WTB Stouts or a Maxxis Crossmark (rear) and Nevegal (fronts)... or shall I just grab some new Rocket Rons? Cheers all.
  6. I'd go for John O Connor Cycles, they have good workshop guys even though their price of their gear caters for the rich weekend warriors in the area.
  7. Just bought a 2011 Scale 50 from Cash Convertors (of all places) in CT CBD. Paid R3000 for it and it looks a bit ridden (about 7.5 / 10) but all good. All original parts bar the SPDs and a pump. It's off for a service but seems to okay. Seems too good to be true... Were there any issues with this bike that would confine it to the bargain bin? Can't believe it's that good a deal.
  8. Hi mate, would be keen to join you guys if okay. Just wanted to know is it going to be a roadie group or MTB or mixed? Also what is the route out of town going be?Trying to get some distance in the legs an idea of the route before the 'free for all' the following week. Have a few work mates (Bobs for Good Foundation) that need a long ride as well. Cheers.
