  1. Ox Wagon I saw you ask elsewhere about why you guys are marked DNF. I was rereading the rules (I'm actually DNF 'coz I finished riding at 10:48), and each of your team members HAD to ride. If you had some last minute pull-outs, maybe this is why you're DNF?

P.S. I asked Dimitri if he wants the prize back to give to the rightful winner and he said I can keep it, phew!
  2. OK, so I won First Solo Female in age group 18 to 29 (geez I feel young!) with 9 laps. However, Cat-i won third OVERALL with 16 LAPS!! That's 280km!!!

Like my new Eggbeater pedals, can't wait to fit them!
  3. I've been told I'm let off the hook for explaining how much I don't like that bridge just before SP rode, um OFF it!

Let's just say the time trial back to the car was tiring!

We had a good laugh at Wilgeheuwel casualty. As we're sitting waiting, my casualty doc from when I bent my rims came past. "Hi doc, I

    m back but this time I brought a friend!"Embarrassed
  4. It was with a sad heart that I viewed the 'Access Denied' screen. The day had come. My work access to TheHub had been restricted.

So it is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to my daytime friends. I luckily have Internet Access at home, but it's on dialup, so my post count is sure to drop.

    SOB!

Ah well, it had to happen eventually, maybe I'll get more work done!
  5. I'm in, but haven't paid yet (received my confirmation email, team 835).  BUT, phew R5200 is a lot. Breaking my bank :-(

Let's start a list of reasons to do it:

    Only R10 per kilometre (R5200/2/260km)

You get to wear your Sani2C top on other rides and show off that you did the event

    4 days off work

    More?
  6. JLDAM has a point. I don't know what your riding style, prefered rides, etc are but I have recently bought a Commencal Meta 5.5 and loving it. JLDAM has demo models that you can try, might be worth taking it for a spin on a trail to see what you think.

  7. Johan, I remember reading an article a while ago where keeping the belt in one piece was an issue because of the design of the bicycle? On a chain you can break it and put it back on, but one of the benefits of a belt was that it didn't have that weakness?

The article I read (blown if I can remember where!), had to design a rear triangle that could be disassembled or something!
