i use the Comaro hill in the south of JHB, anyone know it. its about 800m - 1km long, once you reach the top you turn left and hit another 150m steep climb Polar said its a 180m ascent, not sure what that means but its a tough climb! heart rate was hitting 188bpm

hey Hubbers...... i am looking to start doing some MTB'ing now as i find riding on the road alone is getting boring\lonely so i am looking for an entry level bike and seems i am settled on the Titan Elite, i have found options ranging from R4000- R4500 which i find very reasonable?? i have been told the Titan factory is in JHB, i dont suppose anyone knows where it is hey ??

spoke to my cycle shop and they claim it does have auto start and stop?? the guy i spoke to has one himself

ok cool, so seems all my readings are wrong lol!! i really need to sort this start/stop out so i can start getting accurate readings!

hi All, i have a Polar S510 which i am battling to get its full potential...... 2 Questions - 1 - I would like to use a Cadence sensor, has anyone got the same setup? 2 - If i happen to stop whilst on a ride will that affect my Average KM/hr and my ride time?? i know some of the newer models seem to pause when you stop?? please assist thanks

HI All, i am new to cycling, trying to get ready for the 94.7 i have experienced this problem on 2 or 3 road rides i will be riding and get onto a nice flat road where i can climb to the bigger gear in front and the smallest at the back.... problem comes in when i hit an incline and want to shift off the top gear in front to the smaller gear...... problem is the chain jumps off and i land up kissing the tar as i cant un-cleat in time..... cleats and falling is a whole other issue :) do i need to do some adjustments on my gears? i have a cannondale SAAD with Shimano 105 please could someone help with advise as this problem is now slowing me down as i am scared to use the bigger gear in front thanks!!

thanks Bennie, unfortunately i can only buy one, not even that at the moment anyways hahah - still saying! i have been told if i put a set of slicks on it will improve the road riding

now to throw a spanner in the works, should i buy the merida mountain bike or look at a road bike - i know the road bikes are alot more limited then the road bikes and our roads are really not safe at all. i have been told the 94.7 will be a hell of alot easier on a road bike +\-60 min difference in completion time ??

wow seems merida is the way too go, i really thought the giant terrago would have been the recommended bike - then again i have not seen the meriva in real life so maybe thats why thanks again guys!
