  1. That right there is one of the 1,000 reasons I love this country.
  2. Here are the Spark details for a travel Sim. You get a 1 or 2 month option, but it sounds like the $29 1 month option should be sufficient for your needs. I used this option when I first arrived and then just converted it to a Prepaid when I got my work visa. https://www.spark.co.nz/shop/mobile/travel-pack/ You don't need to pre purchase it as you will be able to get it at the airport on arrival.
  3. I found that like most 'tests' in order to nail the higher bands it generally comes down to exam technique. A friend pointed me to a great website run by an English teacher who also used to be an IELTS examiner. She teaches you about the techniques to use in all four areas of the IELTS exam. It certainly helped me - I managed to get an overall band score of 8.5 (minimum of 8 in writing which imo is the most difficult part of the exam). Check out ieltsliz.com She also has a great YouTube channel, which is what I mostly used, you can find the link on her web page.
  4. Hi Hayley You still looking for ZAR's. Have just landed in NZ and looking to offload some SA Rands.
  5. Well done DSTV. You've done it again. Go to another MTN advert before Froome goes across the line. WTF!!!!
  6. I think the issue is that the Epic is marketed as a "world class event", so therefore the coverage should at least be approaching world class. The other multi stage race in SA aren't marketed as such (and there certainly isn't the international audience on the scale of the Epic). A 25 minute daily highlight package including a 5 minute racap of the previous day and 5 minutes of adverts only leaves 15 minutes for actual footage of that day's stage. How can Super Sport say this is the most televised MTB race in the world?
  7. Super Sport seems beset with technical issues. Set PVR to record highlights package the other night (think it was a 2.30am rebroadcast). Only to find they had shown some silly tennis package instead.
  8. Looking for a senior bookkeeper in Cape Town. Need to meet the following requirements: 1. Must be able to work on their own and not need constant supervision 2. Pastel experience 3. Strong on recons 4. Experience with Softline VIP a plus 5. Experience working with multiple currencies PM me.
  9. The Merida is a fantastic bike you won't be sorry. Recently bought one myself and loving it. If you're still struggling to make up your mind though have a look at the Ghost ASX 5500, same price range as the 120.
  10. Just bought one myself. Awesome bike and like Dirk says, brilliantly spec'ed. R17.5k is a great price too.
  11. Frosty, also looking at the Merida 120-1500, just been quoted 17.9k. Would like to know where you got yours for 15.5k.
