  3. Marshals for the SA Cross Country Champs - Inanda Dam We are in need of marshals on dirtbikes to help with this MTB challenge. You will need to be lead bikes or sweep bikes on the day. The organisers will throw some cash your way to cover petrol and there will be a few pots and food at the end, on the house. Please PM me if you can help. Thanks guys gals!
  4. can't you track it via garmin?
  5. AWESOME!
  6. I build a lot of singletrack. It takes a ton of time and a chunk of dollars! I still wish that SA mtb'ers would start taking the Canadian and American attitude and build a section of singletrack every month. Pack a sandwich, foldable spade and a few frosties and head off?with your?mates?to your favourite riding spot for a few hours of building. R25 for VG is a bargain!
  7. I have a few guys coming out to ride on Saturday morning. PM me if you would like to join.
  8. Nokeng Eco Lodge is woman owned and operated. Ronel is a keen cyclist and the rest of the ladies are new to the sport. You can contact them via their web page: http://www.nokenglodge.co.za/
  9. There has been a cancellation at Motlemetse camp for the weekend of the 12th of December. You can book with Pam on 0127220313
  10. You are welcome to bring dirtbikes but they are not allowed on the farm. I do have some killer dirtbiking nearby though.
  11. Hey Mandibles. You can ride on your own. I would suggest keeping away from the rivers ?due to the hippos and crocs. There is also a womans only group that rides in the area.
  12. Great reply Thug. I rent out bikes for cycling safaris and I am very impressed with Silverback as a cheaper, "local" mountain bike. Don't forget to buy a cheap pair of USN gloves, they do the trick nicely.
  13. Holly you should bring the kids out for a cycling visit.
  14. Now that is a cycling question! A lot of bass! There are also yello's, barbel and Tilapia. The Elands feeds Rust de Winter dam so the fishing is magical.
  15. I have tried to get my moutain biker friends to ride over logs. They think that I am mad. Could just be that they don't want to damage the expensive bikes?
  16. There are two lodges within cycling distance. Motlemetse is R150/p for a cabin or R250/p for an en-suite chalet. Nokeng Eco Lodge has R50 camping and a host of other accom. Both spots?are?on?the Elands river?and pretty?amazing. Cycling is flat, thorny and easy on the eys. Lots of jeep and animal-made singletrack to link up.
  17. I am opening up a new 1200h farm and need mountain bikers to come out and explore. Not to many dangerous animals kicking about. ?You will need tubeless tyres or tyres full of sealant. I am situated about 40km N of Pretoria.
  18. GREAT to see holly. This is where it is at.
  19. sweet ride!
  20. Yeti!
  21. I passed a HUGE group of cyclists on the old Pretoria road on Saturday. They were all in single-file and riding on the shoulder. It just made me happy.
  22. Big up for the new signs.
  23. I still cut up the hills on my AC1. The bike rocks and has done a ton of DH, freeride and XC riding.
  24. All of you should go to Makro and buy the R120 electric cable lock. If it is tampered with, then it makes a bloody big noise!
  25. GO yellow bike! if any of the sponsors are in Gauteng? I will take kids on free cycling safaris if you are sponsoring the bicycles!
