  4. ? So .75 inches less travel than the 575?? Will this bike be even more overpriced than the others? Why didn't they call it the 5 as the ASR is an XC bike isn't it? I thought this thread was for people who don't like Yetis? ASR is the name for the suspension design they use, like meastro for giant or fsr for specialized. i dont know what they charge for them in south africa, but here in the uk they are better value than most of the other flagship, "made in the usa" brands. cheaper than intense, turner, even cheaper than giant and spesh if you look at frame sets.
  5. i have one on order cant wait for it to come!

  7. this is my own 2x9 setup, i run the big ring in the middle position and the small one in the granny. its a 40 tooth dmr and 26 tooth blackspire on the front with a pg-990 11-32t in the back. i find that i spend most of the time in the big blade and only need to drop to the small if things get really steep. ive played around with the bb spacers to get the chain line so that i can use big blade in all the rear cogs. it works great for the local trails here, i still need to go try it in Wales for some proper climbs, but i think it will be fine. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2483/3899754427_edc49d5e46_o.jpg

  9. morewoodkid, do you know when the xc bikes will hit the uk shores?
  10. nice colours, fork looks ok, have fun on it!
  11. great idea, you will never be without a multi tool!
  12. its a good bike with a good spec, so hopefully you wont need to "test" the customer service. the other rep must have just been sour that you didnt buy one of his bikes.
  13. i couldnt agree more with that statement!
