I dont see a problem, especially tomorrow ride. We have a couple guys getting back on the bike for first time in a while and some ladies. If everybody comes that has said there should be in the region of 15 of us The planned route is to do a little climbing (part of walkerville race) and then go to circus before returning so +/- 60k ride, i think some are going to be picked up at circus if they cant make it back

The bikes are obviously still good enough to produce results so i dont really care if they were the only professional team !

If raleigh is good enough for a lot of SA top riders then its good enough for me, the team MTN race results speak for themselves! Especially if the price is right. Was looking at buying a hardtail but will hold on and see what the 09 range offers

I know the Juicy 5 use a 185 rotor and not a 180 which could cause a problem but if its a 180 and the replacement is a 180 there should be no problem. Caould it be that they feel the heat dispersment on a another brand or aftermarket is not as good as their own

Thats what i thought but apparently not ! Whats the point of aftermarket if you have to stick to original, the heat build up or something is an issue. Oh and you loose your warrenty

If you running Magura disc brake do you stick to their rotors or can you use Shimano or another aftermarket product ? Never thought buying a new wheel set would be such a learning curve !

Well i just bought the new xt tubeless wheelset. Can i still run normal tyres ?

So it looks like its going to come down to price factor ! Mountain Kings (USt), best i could find R500 a tyre Nevegal and Karma (UST) about R380 a tyre

Ok so i thought i would read up on the topic related to MTB tyres in the archives and not bother anybody with this topic already been covered many times, only thing is now im more confused than ever !! Ive kinda leaning towards the Mountain King or Kenda Nevegal's as a multi purpose tyre good for the dry and mud Any body wanna confuse me some more and throw in a third or fourth option ?

Are xtr wheelsets really worth the 155g saving and the R2500 + xtra price ticket over the new xt wheelset ?
