Well spending R7900 on a set of crossmax slr will get me in trouble but spending R5000 on a set of wheels with tyres and disc should be ok !

What is the Hub opinion on the new xt wheelset ? Looking for a second wheel set that is not going to get me introuble with the bank manager ! My current wheelset is xt hub with Dt swiss xr4.3 rims

Its only 7 months old and pretty good condition so was thinking around the R18000 mark considering i saw the AM3000 D with XT components going for R28000 new the other day

My current ride is a Merida AM5000 D with full XTR but a friend has a Cannondale Carbon Rush Lefty for sale with XT on it. Do i keep my current ride or try sell sell it and go with the Cannondale ?

As a first time rider of the race i enjoyed it ! Would have liked to have done better but the circumstances wouldnt allow it (arm) Mud wasnt an issue, there was a little bit but not much. I think the weather played its part. Nice and cool warming up a later in the day !

Two things i learnt from this weekend, Firstly dont try ride a MTB race with bad elbow that you spent thursday night getting xrays on cause you thought it was borken, it is going to hurt like hell ! Secondly you can never do to much hill training and i need more of it ! Where in Joburg and surrounds are the best hill training areas besides Breedtsnek ?

How many people on here use motionbased.com with a Garmin 305 etc Is it worth purchasing a subscription or is the free sub good enough ?

Any idea on cost of these bikes ? I leaning towards the raleigh purely as the price is more of what im looking to spend as it will only be used occasionaly when i cant get on the MTB, obviously there are cheaper bikes but not many still with 105 components on

I ride a Merida 5000D MTB i enjoy every minute of it, which is why the brand was an option for me when looking at a road bike. I see the RC6000 is quite a popular bike which is why looked at it specially at that price (R7500) Decisions decisions

Can somebody please help ? Im a MTB rider looking to purchase a road bike so that i can get some extra time in saddle. Cant decide between the Raleigh RC6000 ('06 model) that cajees have on special or the Merida 904. Is it worth spending the extra R2000.00 on the merida or will i be happy with the RC6000 taking into account i wont be riding the road that mutch ? Both bikes have Shimano 105 on.
