  1. Any experience with CAADX frame/bikes? Looking at 2018 CAADX Ultegra, R23 000 for the bike is not bad. For duel use, road and gravel miles. Comes with 38 tyres, I'd ideally fit 40 if the frame allows.
  2. On the fence with the Revolt 2 and the 2018 CAADX Ultegra. Two completely different bikes, gravel/cyclocross and carbon/allu but I'd be using them for mileage and some road events where both have good reviews. C'dale lists a 38 as the max tyre size, do any of you have experience with the bike and have you fitted/seen a 40 used in the CAADX? This is cuddently the only thing preventing me to buy the C'dale.
  3. Some good info, thanks all. thanks for the Takealot heads-up, just paidalot for a new watch... WRT buying online, I had a shocker when I ordered a hydration vest online, I had to cough up R893 at the local post office in import duties and VAT.
  4. My biggest concern in a wrist gps is battery life, it's the main reason I'm looking at the Fenix range. Need at least 12 hours in training/gps mode, I'm not into the information overload and a Fenix 6 would be a wasted piece of great kit for me. Thanks for the input all.
  5. Looking at buying a Fenix 3 or -5, the difference in price between new and used does not always seem worth the risk??? What would a fair price be for a: - 3 Sapphire, I'm guessing R4 000 - R4 500 - 5 Sapphire, guesstimate R5 500 - R6 500 ? I assume the warranty is not transferable?
  6. Used X0, XX and now GX gripshift, won't go back to trigger easily.
  7. I use Compressport tri shorts, comfy and I don't change shorts over half and full IM distance events.
  8. Since here are so many repeat offenders....... Slight hi-jack, I'm looking for a Adamo TT saddle. Posted a wanted ad without joy.
  9. I'll be there. I second the eat on the bike tip, I used a anti-reflux pill to curb nausea (spelling) as you eat while basically lying on your stomach and it helped me a lot. I was sceptical as I don't like using meds while doing any events. Train with the supplements and food that will be available on the day. Enjoy!!!!!
