  1. BBB are very good. I use them and have great stopping power and no horrible grinding noises like some of my mates disk brakes
  2. does that mean that you can organise us good prices on fox forks?
  3. very true BL. currently there are only a few very good quality LED manufacturers around. majority of the chinese stuff you have to tread carefully.
  4. just remember the lifetime of an LED is dependant on how well the heat generated by the LED is dissapated. Poor heat dissipation = poor LED life
  5. earthpower what type of dimming do you use? Are they DALI type ballasts you use? On your products page you give no Lumen output of any of the LED downlighters.......what are they?
  6. I'm sure it's a bit of a pain in the ass to adjust whilst riding. they should've made the poploc so that you press it until desired compression position is reached and it stayed in that position. if you look at the markings on the actual poploc it almost looks like thats the way it was originally designed to work. anyway thanks for the help and input guys. much appreciated!
  7. my prob is that you have to have the adjust version to adjust compression on my fork. the compression adjuster on the actual fork is sprung loaded and cant be adjusted manually therefore you need the remote adjuster. i know the older tora 318 allows manual adjustement but not the new one
  8. yeah i don't know whether its worth it or not. a friend of mine changes his compression on his forx fork quite often according to different conditions, but i've never really had an issue.
  9. Hi GL, there are actually 2 different types of poploc. One is a straight poploc, which i have, which only allows for either full travel or lock out mode. The other is a poploc adjust which allows you to adjust the compression via a dial on the poploc remote as well as lock out. PopLoc? View Larger Remote actuation featuring lock and unlock buttons allowing the rider to always be in control and in the know. Poploc Adjust features on the bar compression adjustment.
  10. rapidfire all the way....personal preference!
  11. Hi there, does anyone use the motion control feature on their roch shox fork? I just wanted to know whether its worth investing in a poploc adjust remote so i can change my compression settings on my fork. I currently have a RS tora 318 air solo with a normal poploc remote which doesn't allow compression adjustment. Is there much of a benefit using the motion control??? thanks in advance Byron
  12. also look at RS tora 318 air solo. it has motion control, is v-brake comaptible, you can set up your sag with air rather than the preload spring. as far as i can tell there is no real difference between the tora 318 air and the recon except maybe 200gms of weight. Got mine at solomons for R2300 with poploc remote lockout few months back. great fork.
  13. someone mentioned they had used U-Bag before to me the other day with good results from SA to UK. they said they paid +/- R2000 for return trip. i tried out there on-line quote and it seemed to work out to R1300 one way. pretty good price. here's link http://www.u-bag.com/index.cfm?pageid=277&CFID=5051188&CFTOKEN=68671221&jsessionid=f03038c751e9d4b32c186b656b753f1f4847
  14. As far as i know BA doesn't charge for bikes up to 25kg
