hi guys, some good advice in here, looking forward to my first sani.. on the bike side of things..is full suspension really necessary or will i manage fine on my 29er hardtail..? what are your bike recomendations ?

I've noticed a big group of cyclists.. road and mtb mixed that congregate at the War Museum at about 5am during the week.. Anyone know which club/ group this is, can I join in ? Cheers

What is considered a "light" road bike in both carbon and ally.. what is average and what is considered too heavy..? any thoughts on this? or maybe i should be asking is 8.4kg too heavy for an ally bike?

After riding the 94.7 on my MTB and taking a fair amount of strain but also enjoying passing a number of roadies..i may have been bitten to have a 'want' for roadbike so i can also do it way faster. and no ways am i getting rid of my fun bike. any suggestions for starter bikes?

I put a new cassette on a spare set of wheels so i can add slicks for the odd road ride... do I need to buy a new chain as well? The chain has done about 1300kms on the other set of wheels.
