  1. Maybe if I had gotten to see your pics, I would be too. *jokes* LOL Good grief, in the time I was typing this, 4 more posts.... CycleJunkie2009-10-06 06:12:54
  2. Guess I missed the DG pics. After all that...... Beeyootiful, Kansas.
  3. You are welcome to ride with me and a few others on Wed mornings. Averaging around 28km/h+. Nothing to hectic. On Tuesdays and thursdays the Engen - Engen is also an option, but a bit more hectic. Also a member of Cyclelab, so pm me and I will be happy to help
  4. Hear hear!. Cannot agree more. Cyclists can be just as bad. It seems to me sometimes that cyclists deliberately try to p1$$ off motorists. And then drivers seem to believe that they own the road. I watched a guy in a big 4x4 this am hooting at another driver (both turning right) who had stopped to let a pedesrian cross the road (with the "walk" sign still green). Unfortunately I could not reach my apple core in time to hurl it at him.
  5. Suiker Bos Rand
  6. Point(s) taken. He sure is the root of many a heated discussion. Even among non-cyclists. *Hijack on* What channel is the best one to watch the Giro on, and times. Can't seem to find it.
  7. Quite right, you did not, about drugs, anyway. I just meant that the subject of LA, including all those things seem to... well , you know.... See below. " Thats his problem. Nobody forced him to attempt a come back, he did so of his own free will. I would have no issue if he just kept his ego in check and came and rode the race, but NO, he has to blow his trumpet wherever he gos, he thought he would pitch up and everyone would fall over themselves because he graced the Giro with his presence - well he got a rude awakening, he is not the Alpha and Omega of the cycling world anymore." It seems to me that the press is blowing his trumpet. CycleJunkie2009-05-14 03:42:37
  8. What are the chances? Surely the other riders must have asked their doc's to get them some of what LA was using, back then? Nudge, nudge, , say no more.
  9. And that, gentlemen, is that. I fully agree, KF. I think Bell got a bit distressed by the personal nature of some of Porky's comments. The bits about juice and ego and... seem to get up Porky's nose. Oh well. But no need to get personal back. Take it from whence it comes. Lightly salted for me. CycleJunkie2009-05-14 03:21:04
  10. Klerksdorp and Jhb
  11. How exactly does one DOG a taxi? By cocking a leg.....er.., a snoot, at them?
  12. And what is to prevent Lori doing both? If S/he wants to then stick with one, then great. I reckon I can have my cake AND eat it. Just buy more bikes.
  13. Where does a rider enter races these days? It used to be that I could enter all my races except Argus, 94,7 and Shova on the Supercycling Site. Now half of them have disappeared from here. What with sponsors changing, where does a non-tech weenie find this? A central site (with links if necessary) would make life much easier.
  14. Go Wolverine! I like the sentiments. (tell me who is your tight-rope walking instructor )
  15. I nearly hit the report button I was laughing so hard.
  16. Anyone???? Pleeeeeeeeeeez
  17. That sounds a bit like the problem I have. Anyone please help with servicing Look pedals. Please!!!! The clicking is driving me mad
  18. The fact of the matter is that you bought the bike at the price. If you were not happy or unsure, you should have done the research first. Willing buyer: willing seller. Personally I would not have paid so much for that one, but I did pay R4500 for a 96(?) Tommasini in steel with a 2000 DA groupset three years ago. So go figure! Value is in the eye of the beholder to mangle a homily. CycleJunkie2009-03-04 07:22:39
  19. Yeah, that is the "starfish" principle. Keep it up. I heard this "I have stopped speeding, cos I can't afford the fines." Well at least he stopped speeding, so we can be safer on the road. Well done to the "income generators"
  20. OMG. I have had the best laugh in weeks looking at this thread. Thanks guys.
  21. I have done all of those things. And that makes me a lawbreaker. Capn Slow had it right. A law is a law. If you break it you must be prepared for the consequences. Fine, prison etc. If the law is a cr@p one, get it changed. Go to court and argue your case. All the mechanisms are there. If it is really cr@p, enough people will contest it and then it gets changed, amended whatever. Look at what happened here in Seffrica
