  2. Hey @Tim, Did my firat "70", upgraded from last years 40's, had a great race (boy was the pace fast, all the DirtRoadies must have loved it). Well done to your team.
  3. Ok, so I take a bike into Linden Cycles on Tuesday for a repair to the rear derailleur after my daughter redesigned the layout. I collect the bike on Wednesday and pay for the repair and a minor gear service, all good and fair. Around 15h00 I get a call from Janine to say they overcharged me by R 100.00 and how could they refund me. Obviously, in this day and age, I am taken aback. Needless to say I now have a credit with Linden Cycles. Thanks guys, two BIG thumbs up to Linden Cycles.
  4. If you are 8500 KM from Pretoria everyone in SA is your LBS, mate.
  5. Linden gave me a bit off, R 2056.00 odd. There was a cable disk one, but got girls specific one with the V-Brake. I'm a little concerned about small fingers in rotors. High 4 and all.
  6. Thanks guys, just went to Linden Cycles to have a look and got a Titan Contessa 24". I think it will be great for her as her first "geared" bike, and should last. Quite a looker and the spec is not too bad. Cheers
  7. Thanks, is it any good? that is it's not a PnP special!
  8. Hey there, any advise on the correct MTB wheel size for my daughter, she is 8 years old and stands 115 cm tall. Looking to spend not more than about R1800.00 if i can get away with it. Any advise on make or LBS in Gauteng?

I have always used SP20, for all my outdoor sports, when applied correctly it does not leave a sticky mess. Alcohol based so it does burn a little going on, but apply one hour before hand and it absorbs into the skin.
  10. I ride a Trek/GF HiFi Plus got it for 19k, at my level it is all good and has served me well.
  11. Agree, did it on Monday, very misty but great trail..
  12. What bike?? 26", 29" HT or FS, had the same problems earlier in the year. After riding a Trek 930 HT for many years (15 years, on and off) I decided to get the Trek hifi GF Deluxe. Got it from my LBS at a great price under R19k. For my weekend riding and skill level the bike is great and obviously a big improvement. Not had a single issue with the bike, in fact only positives.
