  1. As opposed to that swiss dude from romania?
  2. Have you done any other timed cycle races? Guess it'll follow the standard ppa seeding method as at http://www.pedalpower.co.za/Default.aspx?tabid=32.
  3. Okay, decided on 94.7 and have entered and got flights sorted. Can anyone recommend accomodation convenient to the start? What's parking like? Alternatively does someone want to swap accomodation at 94.7 for accomodation next year at argus?
  4. Hi, I'm looking at doing one of the out of (cape) town races and am currently thinking of either the 94.7 Cycle Challenge or the Amashovashova. Any recommendations on the better one of the two to do. Or indeed any other recommendations would be greatfully appreciated! Bear in mind the atmosphere of the entire weekend and the fact that i've been to durban for a week previously before and only seen the parts of Jo-berg that you can see on the highway to Sun City Cheers.
  5. Does anyone have a bike insured with outsurance and have the documentation in front of them where they can quickly check the small print for the locked to bike rack situation?
  6. Also have one on my pallio and the rack itself hasn't scratched, although you have to be careful with the pedals and things, got a nice rub mark just by the key hole on the boot. But then again, the roof rack mounts on the pallio are awful. Had one of the racks come off with the mtb on there. Mtb was fine (good solid Scott construction), but the roof has got some lovely dents on it... Decado2008-05-09 00:41:15
  7. Would need some kind of wind tunnel and rollers to test properly like that. Would be possible to measure the drag differences. But setting up consistently would be a pain.
  8. It all depends on how strong a swimmer you are! Swimming is all technique. If you have bad technique you use a lot more energy and so you get into T1 more tired. The Swim coaching i had didn't make me any quicker. Just meant i swam at the same speed but using half as much energy. However it's also worth noting that the swim is the shortist leg time wise. So improving your run or your cycle by 10% will effect your time more than improving your swim by 10%. But with cyclist/runnining people it tends to be that much easier to improve your swimming than your cycling. Decado2008-04-03 01:49:10
  9. But in the meantime get your swimming technique sorted if there are any problems with it and get any injuries sorted properly by a physio. And go join a running club and slowly start building distance Decado2008-04-03 01:28:41
  10. The same question as mtbking, but in english.
