  1. I purchase my bibs from this store. Excellent, competitive prices, excellent bibs, excellent service. To be honest, I only look at the price I have to pay and not at anything else because that is all that really matters to me. I would highly recommend their bibs, which I always buy one size up. Ciao.
  2. I also waited for a quote for quite a while from BA but did eventually get an email reply to apologise for the slow response and ask if I still required assistance. Appreciated that and the fact that they explained they were very busy and thus very delayed in responding because of Covid. However, first getting quote and then ordering - not your standard online business model and thus also quite hard to understand. However, Evobikes on the other hand - top rate service every time. Also, I personally have not yet had a bad CWC experience...
  3. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgNMQtsnimM Eish!
  4. As somebody famous once said: "ROCK ON"! Looks like loads of fun!
  5. True that. I am a generally cautious rider who cares about his teeth and bones. However, on one race I did, a dude with no such qualms came tearing down the hill behind me riding with a lot more skill and speed but with much skidding and sliding. Looked like fun but had no concern whatsoever about the results of that skidding an sliding
  6. I have been looking for some actual research on the subject. Not sure if this has been posted before but here is one: https://b.3cdn.net/bikes/c3fe8a28f1a0f32317_g3m6bdt7g.pdf Basically the conclusion is: "This study found that the impacts from Class 1 eMTBs and traditional mountain bicycles were not significantly different, while motorcycles led to much greater soil displacement and erosion. Observations suggest that Class 1 eMTBs may lead to more displacement under certain trail conditions. More research is needed before conclusions can be drawn regarding the environmental impacts of Class 1 eMTBs as compared with traditional mountain bicycles".
  7. Now that is an honest response...!
  8. Hey. In my opinion, ebikes are not motorbikes even though they do have motors. I have personally seen the result of motorbikes on trails and again, in my opinion, their impact seemed much greater to me than ebikes. Cheers.
  9. Hi Ascension. If a bike park allows ebikes on its trails then it will need to thoroughly evaluate the impact that these bikes may have on the trails. Then, as is their prerogative, they will need to determine whether to charge all trail users or just the ebike users for any additional maintenance they may have to undertake. However, to be honest, I can't see how a unilateral decision to ban ebikes from trails will achieve anything constructive. Ciao.
  10. Hi Jacquers. I agree with you. These things should be thoroughly evaluated and appropriate action taken to, as far as possible, limit damage to the environment and improve safety on the trails for all trail users. Cheers.
  11. I have been watching this thread with some interest. The only question I have is: WHO CARES IF SOMEONE, OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL, CHOOSES TO RIDE AN EBIKE OR NOT? Who am I to judge? So what if I don't like ebikes? So what if I do? The only thing that should matter, in my opinion, is that we all love riding our bikes, whether those are ebikes or not. That should surely be enough?? Cheers.
  12. Sorry but I fail to understand how they are that similar... One you turn the throttle and it launches you forward with significant power and the other assists you to some degree when you peddle. How much assistance you get on an ebike can be scaled up and down to increase or decrease the assistance provided while the motorbike (MB) has lots of kW and torque for you to use while doing nothing much but modulating the throttle (just talking about how the power is delivered and not inferring that riding an MB is easy). Sure, an ebike is easier than a normal bicycle, but having ridden a MB, ebike and normal bicycle I would say that an ebike is much more like a normal bicycle than a MB. However, that's just my opinion :-) ciao.
  13. Surely there are many differences between a KTM 990 and a KTM ebike?
  14. I dig this guys YouTube channel...
