I have currently a Silverback Phoenix and it is a good bike with deore components but the bike is quite heavy at 15kg's (extra's on bike is wired computer,aluminium bottle holder,silverback pump, and other grips with side handlebars. how can I make it lighter?

what about Merida? anything good mtb from here...

I see this mtb is lighter than the Scott aspect 10 and Scott scale 70 which weighs 12.70kg (these 2 mtb's are the last mtb's before the carbon mtb's of the scott range) and they go for at the same price range as the silverback spectra

any other suggestions on mtb's?

Whats the lightest Mtb suspension fork under 5k

so if I get the measurements of the fork I want to buy, what do I do next? eg. If there is an ad of a fork that says 180mm steering length then how would I know if its gona fit for a medium frame?

So must take my standard fork I have now and measure that?

when looking to upgrade the fork of a medium mtb, what steering length must I look out for and is their any other details I should know?
