  10. I was in the same position like you a few months ago with same options. I really liked the scott aspect 30 but had bad components. so I looked at the silverback phoenix and got me 1. Its 1 good and solid bike with decent components and im quite happy with it. perfect for a 1st bike. So i'd say go SB phoenix!
  11. are any of these frames above lighter than the niner air 9?
  12. cool, I'll check with those places you mentioned on monday. I read up quickly on the frame and it looks impressive!
  13. I've decided to upgrade to a 29er but I want to build the bike to my desired spec. I would like to know which 29er HT frame is a good, and most of all light frame to buy. If possible give ERP and weight of frame. It must be aluminium frame as carbon is a little too expensive. I plan to put XT groupset, RS SID fork and Carbon seat post, stem and handlebar. (not sure about the wheel set yet)but these mods will come verrryyy later on... I won't be doing jumps or extreme riding just normal trails and a bit road cycling, no racing. Thanks
  14. Where can I buy a brand new Scott Scale 29er TEAM frame in Cape Town?
  15. thanks guys for the suggestions but my buddy went for a mtb rather, he felt like doing trails and a little road cycling
  16. Over the past few days I've been looking at the 29ers and even rode 1 I think I'll be heading in this direction instead. I've looked at options and it comes down to these 2: Scott Scale 29 Elite or Giant XTC 29er 1 Which has the better/ lighter frame as I will upgrade components later Is there also any other options I should consider at 15k?
  17. I've seen the Silverback Spectra going for 10k. Good buy at this price
  18. damn I can agree with you...
  19. Nice and not a bad price
  20. I plan on upgrading components/parts later depending on which mtb I take but I want the mtb with the best and lightest frame... So which 1 should it be?
  21. yes but I'm looking at upgrading soon
