  1. Its never bad when you friendly... does it not become an issue when peeps get unfriendly? Not nice.
  2. Jam Jars??!!! Do you need a warning? Is it not rather obvious that consuming that would equate to issues of imbibement? (Dont you like my new word?) (Does that actually make sense?) (Its the naphtalene fumes I thinks?)
  3. Are YOU a cheap drunk?
  4. I fail to recall you mentioning that? Did you know its not nice being a cheap drunk when your reputation in the old days was one of being able to sink most men into comatose states? Alas... now it takes a lot to even get me to drink? Sad hey? (BUT may I add that every ONCE in a long long while the wheels DO fall off... a cruel reminder also of the inability to handle hangovers as well , as you age?)
  5. Not really? it seems I am also suffering from that old age cheap drunk thingie to? You really think its age related?
  6. hell yeah? Nothing quite beats waking up thinking its Friday? How's that for sad?
  7. Its a habit... from the horses I suppose - never get on one without a helmet and same applies to bike. Makes you realize how fragile life is and how STRONG the human body can be and how it can change in the blink of an eye....... glad you still with us Tumbles.. and in one piece!
  8. I suppose I must not complain.... the wine sounds awesome. ... I would be lying if I said I have never won anything.. a GU hamper two weeks ago was the last thing I won.... it helps to win things u can use? Was the wine red or white?
  9. I will set that reminder for sure..... and yes... I can honestly say that I am feeling better and mojo is slowly coming on..... may I say that I think the little break did the world of good but now I am even slower than ever on my bike? I must add that it feels awesome to be in high spirits again?
  10. Sadly..... I am aware of the stats... even worse is my ability to win things, let alone a lottery? Yes...wouldnt it be wonderful to have that kind of money to help the animals....and you could spread it around? WOW..... that would be awesome , wouldn't it? I suppose if its meant to be, it will be? so surely a few rand a month would suffice just in CASE it happened? hehehehe.
  11. Always keen for an easy peddle in the afternoon in week.. also out in Boschkop! PM me if you interested!
  12. Wonderful news to perk up a Monday! PS... a castration or 5 would have gone down well for sure...and maybe a big huge brand on the forehead - RHINO MURDERER!
  13. You know that you make me laugh..... firstly may I say that I am glad to hear it was not a desperate situation and secondly.... 4 big woofs is enough for one person but sometimes when one is desperate for a loving home then surely you try make a plan if needs be as one ALWAYS has enough love to go around? May I add that even when there is enough love to go around.. one should also be financially strong enough to take on more as you want to offer the ones you have the best you can? Would that be considered selfish?
  14. Why didn't you? How old? Why was the spaniel in need of a home?
  15. I may add that it's entirely my own fault......? Do you think I should set an alarm to remind me to get? I REALLY REALLY need to start playing as I thinks it the only way to get one humungously insane amount of money that I need to buy the farm I want? And I will adopt ALL the baby elephants at the David Sheldrik Centre....that would go down well ?
  16. SOMEONE was supposed to remind me to buy lottery tickets last week?????
  17. but it would need to be relevant to the amount of beers consumed otherwise it would be cheating?
  18. Well... I think your GoPro will be evidence of that answer.....?
  19. Do you think that we should celebrate with drinks when this thread reaches 200 pages???
  20. YES.... what kind of question is that?? Both trips please, so we can see where you go wrong??
  21. Thank you for that.... appreciate it.. dont get to Jozi very often but maybe a road trip would be in order sometime in the near future? May I add that I try avoid the antique/collectibles shops as they are quite a rip off when you see how much they pay for the goods on auction.. once you see that , you will never buy from a shop again... I like my stuff to have a history behind it or a story... that's what make it all so valuable to me? Also looking for the old oak roll top writing bureaus... sjoe I have seen some beautiful ones on the overseas sites.. good thing I don't live in the UK.... ?
  22. great minds think alike?????
  23. Have you worked in the extra distance caused by the 'meandering' on the return trip??
  24. Um.. may I say I have a penchant for old things.... the gramophone player will be for the immaculate gramophone collection I have - want to play them when I have the need and the telephone.... well that is to go by my front door or in the collectibles corner where I keep all my 'special' antiques... does that answer your question? On a last note... picked up the most stunning old ships chain (all rusted but with the huge fat links) in a scrap yard last weekend (amongst other things).... the hunting part of the equation is always the best part is it not? Oh yes.. the vintage brass nameplates are for a keyring holder I am in the process of putting together..... ??
  25. I hope everyone is as happy as I am that its Friday today?
