huh??
Hi All, quick question to all the single speed riders out there that did the Sani this year, what were your times for day 2? Reason I ask is I smashed my derailleur start of day 2 so had to ride single spped, and it absolutely killed me! I have massive respect now for the guys that do this day in and day out.
So let me know the times you did so I can see if I did okay.
Hi Guys, just wanted to find out how long does it normally take for orders from Chain Reaction to get to you? Please let me know, thinking of ordering some stuff but working on a tight deadline.
Hi all,
Does anyone know apart from rollers, if there are any IDT's compatible with a thru axle MTB?
PLease help, have a knee injury so cannot get out and ride for at least a couple weeks, so need to get an IDT.
If you know of a brand, even better where I can buy one immediately, please let me know.
Thanks.
Hi,
Are there any rides around the broadacres area in the mornings that I could join? My partner has taken a couple weeks off.
PLease let me know, shot.
Im weighing in at 93kg's at the moment, running the crests on Hope hubs, granted I ride quite hard, but I have just had to replace my front rim and the back one is going in today for trueing, I have had them for about a month. So id say depends on how hard you ride, if you ride district roads etc then no issue, but if you enjoy steep rocky descents with a bit of air time, stay away. Thats my opinion.
HI All, it is a proper UST setup, it was a Kenda small block eight UST tyre and ZTR crest rim. Thanks for the feedback, only thing I can think of is the tyre is old. And yes, I had just put 130ml sealant in the tyre, it was a proper mess!!!
Hi guys, please help. Was busy tonight servicing wheels on my 29er, long story short, when inflating the rear tyre to re-seat it, I got it up to 4 bar (normal for seating) and the tyre literally exploded off the rim. now my question, does anybody know why this would happen? The tyre is rated to 5.5 bar so it could not have been over inflated, could it be that the tyre is a bit old? Came with my rims so no idea how old it is, still got plenty tread though, its a small block eight.
How do you tighten the QR on the fork of the middle bike?
Maybe by putting the middle bike on first????
I am on Ben's side here. Gear cables don't stretch. I hope part of his rudeness was pointing out your silly mistake?
WOW, thats an informed statement right there??
I ride a 26er Dual suss but even I am getting tired of this thing against 29er riders, yes some of them are w@nkers but not all. Some of my best mates live at the coast and ride 29ers.I did not read your entire post but I find your heading "Table View beach W@anker with mountain bike" extremely offensive.
In the interests of political correctness rather say "Cyclist with big stupid wheels seen in Table view" No need for name calling. That is all.
Thats your problem right there, you did not read the entire post!it may clear things up a bit
I'm keen to join your route. Just waiting for my bike to get sorted out. Can join on Wednesday mornings.
Cool, bomb me your mail address and Ill send you the details.
So no one keen to join us then?
medium pace, currently we doing around the 18 - 20km/h average over 23 - 25 km's, but it must also be noted that its not trail riding as we not sure of the trails in the area, so we normally leave BP, past fourways gardens, up Lombardy, into Syringa , right onto cedar then right off cedar into chartwell (there where Steyn's new development is next to Dainfern). Only ride for about an hour, but the earlier it gets lighter, the earlier we'll be leaving, so pretty soon we should be able to get 2 hrs in.
will let you know of the time, we leave from the BP garage there at fourways gardens. What sort of pace you ride at?
we'll be going out on friday morning again, will let you know what time. Whereabouts in Broadacres are you?
An hour a day not going to get you through Sani, Mr Hope.
thanks for that my bud, but for now while its dark in the mornings, i'll have to make do.
well I went out this morning did 20.5 k's in and around Chartwell/broadacres, but mainly just on the sand roads (not sure where to find trails in that area), its more to just get out in the mornings and get some k's on the legs. was out this morning from 5h20 for around an hour. The earlier it gets lighter, the earlier id like to start, but want to be done by 6h30. Was also hoping to meet some guys that could show us a couple more routes. Going to be looking at doing around 3 mornings per week, i figure 60 - 90 minutes on the bike is better than sitting indoors on a spinning bike!!! Let me know what you guys think.
Howsit going, I stay in Broadacres, looking for guys to join me and a mate for early morning week rides MTB. Or if there is a group that currently rides that we could join. From around 5 / 5 30 ish , ride for around 1 hr.
How much more do you need? I have a wishlist but may add or take off depending on your 'shortfall'.
Where exactly is this place? and ow long is the trail currently? id like to come through early Sunday morning, what time do you guys open up?
Just got in!
YES PLEASE!!
