  1. Mountain Cycle Shockwave MK1 frame
  2. Yes that is your frame, makes for an awesome bike, very pleased that I bought it. It makes for a very nice all rounder. Even did some cross country racing on it. Next additions is to add a dropper post and a smaller front sprocket.
  3. Yep, it has horizontal dropouts, the tensioner is built into the dropout. There is a setscrew in front of the axle that can be turned to push the axle backwards. The QR is part of a 10mm through axle so the entire combo hold the rear wheel in place pretty well. Me, have a thing for Mountain Cycles, never! (Drools slightly out of corner of mouth)
  4. Jonkershoek yesterday.
  5. Yes you definitely need a Gopro, the standing in front of Cape Union Mart drooling at the video is a good indication that you are a prime candidate for one. Like BrandonF kindly suggested, do not buy it new, wait for a 2 month old one to come up on Gumtree or the Hub. And seeing that only you will find the footage interesting you do not need the top of the line Spielberg version, the more affordable version will be able to record big spills just as well and amuse and entertain your friends with hours of riding footage.
  6. Also Jonkershoek.
  7. Thanks for the heads up, just ordered one.
  8. Still need to print the form but I'll be there
  9. I think have a brand new one of those somewhere (Shimano Octalink V2 if I remember correctly) If I can find it and it will fit you can have it.
  10. And remember to post photos.
  11. Based on the figures above, go for it, the 20mm shorter top tube should not make to much of a difference if you are going to use it for a play bike. It is slopestyle geometry anyway so it is going to be pretty compact even in the larger size.
  12. A long shot but the following works sometimes: Inject a little bit of expanding foam through the hole left by the rivet (or any other hole in the tube. Tilt the frame till the lose rivet is stuck in the foam. Leave to dry. It should keep the rivet captive so it does not rattle around. (Glue also works, it is just more finicky to use) Edit: Damn, I am the slowest typist here
  13. Mountain Cycle x 4, Amp Research x 2 a Kona and an On-One (So voted "Other")
  14. Just paid for my entry
  15. Thanks, managed to do a 3:29 from group P so I am pretty pleased.
  16. Respect, I could only manage 5h18, anything geared for the uphills simply does not work on the level bits.
