hhmm - seems there are a few of is the same boat How tall are you guys? I'm around 176cm and can generally get away with a medium 26er (around the 17/18in mark). But I've yet to find a 'medium' 29er to my liking. The Silverback Moda was probably the one I felt most comfortable on - but now they are pretty much sold out. 2012 version should be out end of September from what I hear.

For those interested - profile of the climb from my phone GPS / endomondo. Sats have it as around 1000m climb - but I'm not sure how accurate the GPS on my phone is...

I second the vote for a water point at the top of Koringberg. Not only becasue of the climb, but it would have justified the 5 minutes I spent taking in the views - spectacular! All in all, thanks to everyone that had a hand in putting the event together. A few niggles here and there but overall nothing to stop me coming back. I'll definately be back in fact - I've got a score to settle with Mt Koringberg Got home in just under 3 hours which was my target so I'm pretty happy (although my knees are telling me different). G

I'll be there along with two mates. Doing the 40km - first time at this one. Hope it's as good as it sounds :-)
