  1. Ive been keeping my eye on this robot for a while. I first saw it in 2013, could not believe what it is capable of. the way it can jump like a horse is very freaky. But I think the break through in robotics is coming VERY soon with the great strides being made in super light weight future materials and of course Fusion reactors. Think Iron Mans suit, powered by a tiny Fusion reactor. http://www.gizmag.com/boston-dynamics-new-atlas/42007/ http://www.gizmag.com/darpa-atlas-robot/28266/
  2. Like the fact that doping in schools is now a wide-spread, major issue that is just not being a addressed effectively.
  3. Sorry for the late reply.....IMHO I think a lot of rookies and all of us, get into the sport for the love of it, but when it becomes your JOB, it just turns into a whole other monster. (Im sure a few business owners can attest to that....) Kind of like loving cars, and then becoming a car salesman.... As if the the ugly truth is revealed only when you're "in". Plus I just think that doping is as much a part of sport as the lies to cover it up. From the team doctors to the management to the publicists, deny it until proven otherwise is the default statement on social media and the like. Im def. not trying to justify cheating/doping, but at the end of the day its the uncomfortable house guest that is NEVER going to leave....
  4. Imagine you are invited by a pro team to a training camp and by day 2 you cannot keep up cause EVERY morning the squad has "fresh legs" and are in pain. You are running the risk of being sent packing before your career can even start.....what you gonna do? Thats pro sport simple as that. If you wanna make a career of it you have to be able to keep up with the peloton......think about ANY pro sport....even our beloved RUGBY....
  5. My brother-in-law was helping a mate with some new appliances for the kitchen renovation. Took his bakkie to the main depot somewhere in Epping. They put the big boxes on the bakkie (new stove ect) drove home to Somerset West. All excited they start unpacking the new gas oven....open the box, oven is sealed in plastic, with the polystyrene bits. Open the plastic on top, reach into the box, hands underneath to lift it. His mate says he can feel a "pipe" at the bottom and its hissing.....my brother-in-law says but the gas is not even hooked up yet. Hold on a minute.....yip there was a 1.5m Cape Cobra curled up inside the base of the oven, in the sealed plastic, in the sealed box. That could have ended VERY badly.
