  3. I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies: South African Revenue 'Service' South African Postal 'Service' Telkom telephone 'Service' South African Police'Service' Civil 'Service' MTN / VODACOM / Cell C / VIRGIN / DSTV Customer 'Service' This is not what I thought 'Service' meant. But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'Service' a few cows. BAM!!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.
  4. how cool is that?!
  5. Some Redneck Engineering and last but not least
  6. some of the basic outlines of the procedures that have to be followed: - contract workers go before permanent staff - I've been there too - they need to inform the workers that retrenchment will happen, and allow for time to come up with suggestions of how to prevent "letting them go" (eg. 1/2 day, pay cut, etc.) - then there's the rest if she was on contract (assuming so as it seems like it's in 4 months time) or still on probation, then she has to get the notice period either in work time, or in payout anyways - will PM you the details of the person 2nite - got the stuff @ home

  11. Impress your neighbors with Amazing Garage Door Covers! A German firm called "Style Your Garage" - creates posters for garage doors that make it look as if it's actually showing the interior of your garage, and what's in it! Prices range from $199 to $399 for the double-door! All but guaranteed to make passersby take a second look!

  16. I guess this sign was about something similar
  17. wow what a breakdown! and all I wanted to know was if it is equally filling I'm a wee tad sceptical about the amount of vits in the Futurelife - kinda like is it REALLY necessary? for now I prefer the taste compared to Pronutro though
  18. What is cheaper is Morvite (R11.59/kg!) - has similar composition as Pronutro, but I found that it didn't sustain me due to the sugar content
  19. According to PnP online shopping: Future Life R29.59/500g box (R59.18/kg) Pronutro R24.99/500g box (R49.98/kg) - it gets cheaper the more you buy (R45.06/kg for 1.5kg) I'm really wondering how the portion sizes relate...
  20. Sorry can't help on the price - but do have a look at the suggested portion sizes (or how much you need to eat of each to be satisfied) as that can also contribute to price difference in the end. My only advice for Pronutro is to try and go for a whole grain one with little added sugar.
  21. I was in India over Dec/Jan for 21 days - no issues with Delhi Belly or theft but you have to be cautious with food, water and luggage
  22. Check out the GI's of Future Life, ProNutro, Oats, WeetBix and others according to the GI Foundation http://www.gifoundation.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=43&Itemid=100081 [edit] also see under the other headings for fruit and milk you might add to your breakfast.
  23. I guess it depends what time you have breakfast Besides, it's good to eat again around 10am - like a portion of fruit - just to keep your natural sugars up. I eat half origional flavour and half chocolate flovour with some warm milk (or water if the milk at the office is sour - but it still tastes great!) The origional flavour has "natural vanilla flavour" in it, whereas the chocolate one has cocoa in it - which I think is a better option than the "natural flavour" business. I havn't had the bloated effect with Future Life, but my money for your bloated feeling would be on the milk which makes Future Life then also great for lactose intolerant people.
  24. I might not have skills like the Stig, but I do have other skills
