  1. Hi thank you, my problem is the pressure loss, it has been been done so many times but still loses pressure after a few rides, the levers return perfectly.
  2. Looking for help please, my Ultegra Di2 brakes keep going flat, fitted to a Trek project one bought in 2021, started after a flight with the bike, been redone and no problem with the last two flights. However it has become worse and only lasts around 100km before one brake lever will fail, it has been back to Trek multiple time, the Shimano agent in South Africa has had the bike for assessment and said the system is compromised with no explanation and no support, except buy the new 12 speed, (too expensive) They also cannot say if the problem is the shifters or callipers!! Apparently no spare parts are availably either. I am thinking of replacing the shifters if I can find a set of R8070 Ultegra Di2 Shifters and maybe callipers as well. Advise or help would be much appreciated. Thank you,
  3. I prefer the all in one stem and bar system, carbon.
  4. It was a Deda stem on a Dogma frame, he was standing on the peddles at the time, went down real hard. Yes torque wrench is required.
  5. My riding partner was chasing me down in a sprint when his stem bolts failed catastrophically at 53km/h and down he went on the tar, broken rib, collar bone and stitches in his elbow and shin, and much pain. Make sure you stick to the manufactures recommendations on the nm torque settings for these critical bolts. They range from 4 to 8 nm depending on the manufacturer specifications.
  6. Wow "!!!!!! Give me a brake"
  7. Can't believe how some people ride so much, see the August challenge wow the leader has done some serious km this month.
  8. Once your body has got used to exercise without huge amounts of carbs you will be amazed how for you can ride, I have done 4 hour rides every weekend on low carb protein shakes. And feel fantastic. Oh with a coffee stop in between. But I do believe this eating plan has been the best thing I have ever done as far as being more healthy.
  9. Read the Tim Noaks diet it's very good and introduces you to the New Atkins diet which I started 19 months ago and have never looked back, I am 53 years old and ride with youngsters of 35 and still hold on , the eating plan is brilliant and easy to follow, I lost 14 kg and have tons of energy now, remember to leave out sugar, bread, potatoes and most carbs, it really works.
  10. Don't repair it, buy a new rim, it's not worth it unless you have a brilliant medical aid!
  11. All the best to you guys, show us the flags.
