I did the 35, lost my rear derailleur about 1rkm into the race (packed up). My front derailleur packed up with 15km to go. O and I got chain suck just about all the time. I had to single speed it to the finish. It took me 2:10 and I recorded just under 40km. BTW the marking was slightly poor in places if you ask me. I enjoyed the rout and the race was cool, glad I did it. I however have to agree that one would expect a bit more for the price of the entries... My bike now needs some serious TLC

from what I've seen the seat is in the way of your legs when pedaling so you have to pedal with your legs wide open for clearance?

So I will see youy guys at the race. However I copped out and entered the 35. And no Karma, I am not going for a podium pos, I just want to enjoy the race (and beat my boss - *evil laugh*)

it is a very nice race IMO. I love the last bit of single track and the race is small enough so that you don't get the congestion issues that we see in the Nissan series

sad to say but there arn't any to speak of. Nothing propper at least. The army base and district roads is your only option. There might be trails on private farms that I don't know about though.

Forgot to mention, you can raise funds by means of any race. We have a fair number of cows at the Argus as well. And I seem to remember somthing about a cow team or 2 at the last Epic
