  1. how you described it is how I understand their system to work. I once added an item to my basket but only checked out 5min later. When I checked out their system notified me that the item is no longer in stock. Remember, they don't only do online sales but they have a shop as well. This adds complexity seeing that someone can go into the shop and buy an item at the same time as another online user. There would be a delay in the system as the POS device in the stoor that scans the item will not tell you the item is out of stock when it is scanned (if an online user baught the item a second ago. The instore sale will go through and the person will walk the item out of the shop. Another example is if staff steel an item. The stock on the system still shows 1 item in stock but the item already made its way out of the shop. These things happen and there is no bomb proof way to stop it unless the stoor is prepared to keep bigger stock quantities (resulting in cash tied up in inventory). The only way shops can deal with this is by ensuring they 1. Refund the client if such an event happen, or 2. Source the item if the client is happy to wait...
  2. I still say that method will not work. Some of us will be able to create mods to "reserve" items by adding it to dummy accounts and to just keep on re-adding it when the item allocation time expires. Thus, a single user will be able to tie up all the stock of an online store with relative easy...
  3. additional to the above, imagine some idiot logs in and adds every item on their website to his/her basket, and then goes on holiday for a month without checking out. That will reserve all the stock for this person whom will most probably cancel the sale in the end. Can you see the implications in that? I would have liked the item to be reserved when I add it to my basket, but this method is impractical and not fair on other buyers...
  4. the stock fly when it is on sale. Adding an item to your basket on CWC does not reserve the stoc, so by the time you check out the stock might be sold. Nothing wrong with that IMO (even though I lost out on some great deals due to this)
  5. they are much lighter than the crossmarks so you will be going faster without even trying
  6. My racing wheels are pimped out with a rocket ron SS on the front and a Racing Ralph SS on the back. It's the best racing tyre combi I've been on. I can get you some Rocket Ron evo's @ R290 per tyre if you want lighter and faster up front but I prefer the SS ron myself(better protection but slightly heavier). The ron is grippier than the ralph hence why I run it on the front.
  7. Sell it as a set-back seatpost. Then, delete your hub profile and sell your house. Or you can just bin it...
  8. ENVE looks awesome on a tallboy! There was a tallboy at the sani with Enve wheels and man did I drool all over them!
  9. There is an app that you can download as well
  10. I love my wheels, just a pity they ain't really that pritty
  11. yes it is Bontrager tyres. I recall there is 4 types of Bontrager tyres to pick from. See my previous post for my favorite (unless you are looking for lightweight racing snake tyres...)
  12. Go for the 29.3 team issue front tyre (for both your front and rear tyres). Not the lightest tyres but they are bom proof. Very good all-round tyres IMO. I have a set on my training wheels with more than 6000km on them and I am sure I can do at least another 1000km on them before I'll need to swop them out
  13. Solomons, they have it at R700 I seem to recall
  14. seems like it almost turned into a crawl
  15. that descent was AWESOME! I heard lots of guys took a tumble there but I personally didn't see anyone. I did see loads of guys walking it though Edit: I should mention that I have not problem with the fact that some people walked that descent. Its always a great idea to ride within your ability during a race.
  16. That looks more like a carpet burn... Heal up fast bud, and keep the cranks turning
  17. good to know. I might need one as my partner for this race had a knee op a couple of weeks back and her recovery is slower than anticipated
  18. so are any of you guys going? and dont blame 3T
  19. I am going as well but I will only be doing the 40 this time around. Done to much LSD and I need to work on my race pace so the 40 should work well for HIT
  20. I was going to let you hear it for not making it up that little hill, but I see very few people actually made it up. Maybe I just found it easy because I was riding at such a relaxed pace...
  21. what? Don't tell me you pushed your bike up that little hill as well? I am so going to look for your photos when they are posted!
  22. haha. no man, that little climb was actually easy. All you had to do was lift your front wheel slightly and keep turning your crank. Easy peasy is you do it like that. I agree, it was a fun race. It seems I was still sick and had a hard time keeping my HR downto not cause damage to my heart. I had to take it VERY easy. My favorite bits was the technical descents and the little climb with the logs. But then again, I like technical.
  23. I don't know if they can order but I know they only have small bottles. I also heard that the distributor only bring the small bottles in. I am happy to join a bulk order from overseas if you know a place that sell it...
