  1. Is it possible to link Discovery Vitality to Zwift? The Discovery website and call centre say yes but Zwift is not in their list nof Apps. Has anyone actually done this or know if it is possible?
  2. I noticed that all the intersections coming down Main Reef Road were not manned by JMPD. Probably due to the quick route change. I also noticed that all these intersections were manned be TB Marshals. They cant be at two places at once. IMHO, taking into account that the route changed due to the flooding, both JMPD and TB Marshals did a very good job in handling things. At that left hand turn in Soweto by the shopping centre I saw a TB Marshal standing there on his own indicating to the cyclists to turn left. There was no JMPD with him. Would you face angry traffic in the middle of Soweto on your own? Thank you Mr. TB Marshal!!!! My cap goes off to all that took part yesterday. From the cyclists, to the organisors, to TB Marshals, to ER24 and JMPD.
  3. I'm glad that PTA has finally got a road race. Yes there were issues at intersections but for the most part I felt safe. Road closure should be considered. Nice route I thought. Better sign boards needed too.
  4. So very sad to hear. RIP Ed and condolences to his friends and family
  5. I'll have to take a picture and post tomorrow. The components are: fox forks, fox back shock, mavic wheels, I'll double check and post again on all actual component numbers. I think the year model is 2006.
  6. I came across this thread on the recent posts tab
  7. I actually joined for another reason altogether, but thanks for noticing. You can find the actual reason for my joining in a post made earlier about advice needed on my mountain bike.
  8. I have to agree the littering is disgusting. As far as metro is concerned, donT we pay taxes for that sort of thing?
  9. Hi all. I need some advice please. I have a raleigh dula suspension mountain bike which belonged to my late Dad. The group set is XTR. The frame size is to big for me so I would like to get a new frame and move to components over to the new frame. On enquiry at a few cycle shops I have been told that he new XTR is vastly different to the new stuff and I might as well buy a new bike complete. Any advice or suggestions
  10. I haven't defended anything here. I have simply asked a question. Tiny K why do you think I have access to that, it is a private board. Look guys, I'm a cyclist and yes I also ride a motorcycle. I'm a member of Cyclelab and see the guys out there every Saturday helping us on the bicycles be safe. I really don't see what benefit your aggression is going to gain. Surely we should be judging these guys by their actions out on the road rather than by a screen shot obtained by questionable means.
  11. Dangle why are you so intent on pushing this issue when Headmarshall has already apologized and the point has been made a few times that the post was to be seen as humorous. If you read the rest of the post it is obviously tongue in cheek. If one is to take the moral high ground the question should be answered.
  12. Seeing as Tumblweeds post of a "private posting" has he created such an argument perhaps he should share how he came by this screen shot
