  1. Have been riding the Sid ultimate for the last 3years. If it doesn't come with the upgraded bushings and race day 2 damper I'd stay away. Been through 3x new dampers, 2x lowers and 1x chassis (stansions) with the older version in only 2 years. However the newest model with race day 2 damper is just awesome! Durable and performs like it should all the time.
  2. Anyone else notice how the race commissaire said they will have a neutral zone through town. Then on the first left he drops the flag and we have to bunny hop speed humps all the way through town. Pretty far from a safe start I'd say..
  3. Do this section all the time. First time that I read this is now also a hotspot although I have always been gunning it on that section for the obvious.. Stopped riding on the cycle path a few years ago for the exact same reason. Blame shifting self boasting leaders and the term Shi+hole country that has zero moral values comes to mind as the only logical explanation. The oxygen inside the already very limited freedom bubble is now nearly exhausted.
  4. Agree. BUT
  5. Small baked patatos, quickly refill your bottle with water, gulp some Coke and go. Just enough to get you fairly thirsty to waterhole over the line. Eselfontein is by Far the Best 3day event out there! GET YOUR ENTRY IN!!!
  6. Horrible way to go! The news24 headline is also similar saying cyclist crashed into stationary vehicle. I had a crash a year ago while riding in cycle lane slowly as it was near a school Im always cautious something like that would happen. Next moment a stationary bakkie in the road passenger door swings open.. head against pavement is your destiny. Slowing down is not enough there is absolutely nothing you can do even to a slow rolling speed. A door edge and 20km/h momentum puts quite a bit of pressure on a finger as the sole contact point. Few surgeries later and my finger was saved from being almost severed. The bike slid under the bakkie and driver just casually drove over bike destroying it completely after being the cause of the accident. All I can say is be extra cautious. Our roads are super dangerous in so many ways.
  7. Had this transparent bs happening with Ciovita Corsa bibs also the newer 2.0 version. All 5x of them which is like R10k. All happens within like 3-6months.
  8. I have one, its a great bike!
  9. Used an Extreme lights 3600lumin last year at Eselfontein, it makes the rocky and sandy section at night seem like a very bright day. To me its worth the extra bucks
  10. What does this warranty mean to anyone wanting to buy a E13 dropper post?
  11. Sometimes one has to play the game, wasn't going to do more than two pulls knowing there were teams.. I did say thank you to the one pure savage guy who did most pulls once we got back😀
  12. Chased from Chapmans to Camps Bay to get back to front group after the group split, went straight to the front.. a bit of a fight to get positioned for sprint. Wasn't sure where the line was so started my kick a bit late and almost caught the Irish guy who won on the line but too late now😅. You guys rode leka should make space in your team for one more old ballie looking for a ride😉
  13. Jip, paid R400 today not the quoted R200. Not sure how they get to this but ok...🫠
  14. I phoned them and they said its possible to be done at the expo..
