  1. I run a conti x king non tubeless fitted tubless on the front and a crossmark tubless on the back no hassles with either running out of true both on crest rims but with the non tubless make sure you clean wash and reclean the inside of the tyre with meths or a similar cleaner as the tyres have a coating that prevent the stans effectively sealing the sidewalls if not cleaned off first, you will probably need an extra couple of squirts of sealent when doing it for the initial sealing as they do use extra sealant. I had similar problems with tyres going flat until the lbs told me to clean the inside of the tyres. Pump them hard until you hear the tyre seat usually one or two loud pops. keep them hard overnight and then drop to normal pressure. hope this helps.
  2. Please post some pics of the clearances as I am looking at fitting these to my RM MSL50 how are the clearances if you release all the pressure on the shocks and depress them to their limits,do you get any touching if they bottom out.
  3. Hi Ive lightened my Rocky element 50 19.5" up to about 10.8kg fitted with: KCNC handle bar and stem sid fork with hydr loc out race face seat post alu fizik gobi seat XO 3x10 front group XO rear 11-36 group XO shifters formula brakes biggest weight loss was on wheels stans ZTR crest with nutec hubs (spelling?) rear tyre maxxis full tubeless crossmark front tyre conti X king protection non tubeless fitted tubeless 2 x bottle cages jetblack carbon the cost can be reduced by getting your lbs to watch for specials packages from the agents especially when new models are due out and let u know what is on offer at what prices. I am weighing 93kgs at this point but found when down to 88kgs the bike definitely road better so the old story lose weight on the rider first is vey true as my times are definitely slower, the lightness on the bike I find did not show up to a marked degree in general riding but when you put it into technical stuff the agility is far better on the lighter bike and that is where the benefit is to me anyway.
  4. You can try this guy Paul 0829593196 he is in hillcrest he did a freezer repair for me 3 years back and its still running fine I was referred to him by one of the caravan outlets, his operation is very basic, I checked with the caravan outlet and they r still referring people to him.
  5. Best riding for upper south coast is to head inland on Umbumbulu/Eston Rd to Virginia Farms www.virginiafarms.co.za lots of beatuful farm track with stunning single tracks from 10km up to 60km routes
  6. Meths is fine just make sure you clean it well, I had to redo mine the first time as I didnt clean well enough and had some loss of air oh and put some extra sealant in as they absorbe a fair bit on the initial sealing. Im very happy with mine, Im running the Xking on the front in place of a crossmark its a bit noisier in the grass stubble but everything else is just perfect and the grip etc is great.
