Hi All As the topic states I need some advice/pointers for winter cycling gear? The temperatures are getting very cold in Cape Town. I know to continue cycling during winter months I could start my weekend rides mid morning but leaves little time for other stuff over weekends. I normally head out around 07:30-08:00am in the mornings. I’m getting some long gloves this weekend. I doubt if these with my long cycling tights and First Accent Apple jacket will do the trick. Any suggestions or tried and tested ideas will be of great help...Thanks.

Noted!!....the Merida I had a look at (white frame with green) looks great. I will be popping in at CWC and the CycleFactory and see what they can offer me. My heart isn't set on the Merida but the Cannondale looks like a good deal too from CWC. I will definately take it for a spin too...in the interim i will have to try and get rid of my current bike too. Thanks for the replies.

i'm looking to spend between R7500.00 and R8500.00. CycleFactory has a Merida Race 903.....but I will have to pop in there and see what else they can offer me. what kind of deal are they offering you and what setup?

Hi All I got into cycling not too long ago and bought myself a Raleigh RC2000 as an entry level bike. Now with my this, hopefully my 3rd Argus tour, I will be looking for an upgrade. I have started looking around for models and pricing. What can you guys recommend? The Raleigh brand I think has taken a little dip of late. I am looking for XL frame, 10 speed, Aluminium or carbon fibre. I’ve had a look at a Merida Race 903 (Tiagra 10spd) for R8300.00 at Cycle Factory Shop , CW Cycles offered me the Merida RaceLite for R9000.00 but I see they have the Cannondale CAAD 8 (Tiagra 10spd) for R9000.00 Anything you guys can recommend? Thanks...
