  1. Muddy Mike, Not giving a "****" of what the customers wants is definitely not our approach, however we are governed by what our principles communicate and send to us as the distributors, in my previous post you will see the image and agreed it not the original but also not completely out of whack as far as replacements go.
  2. Hi Wian Van Staden "aka" Mad Bout MTB, We have been communicating the various options to you from our principles at Ghost-Bikes HQ in Germany over the last couple of days. They have replaced the defective part on your 2011 bike in order to keep the wheels rolling smoothly. They carry stock of Neutral colours to ensure they can effectively support matters like this when they arise. Should the defective part been one where they no longer carry the part or was part of the main frame they would have resorted in another suitable option for you, however the part was available and was sent to us. Spaying the bikes or replacement parts is up to you, we have in the past had some work done on bikes and we have been advised that we should no longer do this as it could affect the warranty claim in future. See below the image of the replaced part fitted on the frame. It is not the ideal green original part you had however it is an acceptable part in our and our principles minds and acceptable in our opinion. If you feel this is absolutely not an option please feel free to contact me Jason Theunissen on 071 878 7992 and or pop in to the office to discuss.

  15. It’s all related to what satellites are available at any specific time of the day... 24 Satellites circumnavigate the globe twice daily, so you can imagine that they change all the time, today you might pick up no 3, 5 and 7 and so on and tomorrow a different batch of satellites. Best practice is to just turn the device on a minute before the activity starts and ensure you have good satellite reception, a cold start is approx 25-45 seconds in clear sky conditions...then when you press go it should be 100%. This is best practice for all GPS enabled devices no matter the brand.
  16. Yes to all the questions below, we are constantly improving on the features and functionality and with the most recent updates we are looking at overcoming the problem most of face and that is data speed and connectivity.
  17. Hi James, Yes you did get a 2011 bike from us as price was a major issue and you had a set budget that had to be met, we hooked you up with a 2011 Ghost model at a very good price to clear the stock and help you out. Throughout the process you asked me many questions that I answered however at no point did I say we are agents for the components on the bikes, we are the distributors for Ghost and mentioned to you that all the items on the bike were covered by local agents and not us and that you would have no problem with any of the components should something go wrong as far as support goes. We are not a bike shop so when something goes wrong with a component we asked and informed you to please visit a local bike shop and ask them to look at it and that they would send it to the relevant agent as they have relationships with those guys and we are not always geared to manage that process. Looking at your post it was sorted and the only fault we see here is that we did not do as you wanted and that we asked that you go elsewhere for support and looking at this thread that was not good enough for you. In saying that we see you mention it s a great product and wish you many happy miles and in future when shopping for a bargain that you please visit your LBS and make nice things with them. 19. Anybody having issues with this please mail me Jason@bbtrading.co.za or call 071 878 7992/0110234478 We recently had a client through no fault of his own trying to use the speed/cadence sensor for both options at the same time. It is either a speed or cadence sensor and not both at the same time, send us some images of the installation and we will help where we can and replace if necessary.
