  1. Hi Craig, Give First Freight a call. Not only do they support cycling in general, they will also get your valuable bicycle up to JHB with no damages. First Freight move all our Downhill bikes across the country for us and have had no damages at all. They will treat your bike as their own. Cheers
  2. Keep a lookout for the pics Aldine took yesterday. They will be uploaded on this thread soon.
  3. Grebel - just get her a rig as well !!!
  4. It was great to meet you all yesterday and i must say that there are XC riders out there that are seriously talented on a bike. For your first time on a Downhill course, you guys aced it and i could see the adrenaline rush in the shakey hands afterwards. For us as Downhill riders its always great to get new riders into the sport and its an absolute jol when like minded people all meet up for a ride. What you guys experienced yesterday is what we do most weekends - we all meet up for a ride together. You guys did an awesome job yesterday and would love to see you on the Downhill course racing with us. There is a class for everyone and we strive to keep it fun!!! If you guys ever want another bash at it, just give us a call and we will be there. If you need help with finding bikes, advice on bikes, just shout we will be there. Chat soon
  5. A HUGE thanks and big up to all involved in the Downhill event yesterday. The course was awesome and think my lungs are still lying next to the last double at the finish line. If anyone finds them, please send them back to me along with my legs that fell off at the same time. I really struggled with the altitude, but thats how Downhill racing goes. A really great event and big thanks to Red Bull for getting involved and to Skull candy for the awesome earphones. Well done to all winners. In fact everyone was a winner if you survived from top to bottom. Hope Hayden and all the other injured riders heal up quick. See you all at the next one. Cheers
  6. See you guys on Saturday!!
  7. Nigel said it would be around R100-00 per person. At this stage the venue will most probably be at Comleys (very close to Cascades) as it is a really good course to learn on, no hectic jumps and the shuttles will be much quicker - giving more riding time. 12 people is the maximum we will take. Nigel, Travis Browning and Kelvin Purchase will be helping with the coaching ( 4 riders per coach. I do speak under correction with regards to the venue, Nigel will have to confirm. Looking forward to meeting you guys.
  8. I chatted to Nigel and indicated that the event date would be on 22 April 2012.
  9. No problem Nige. Im sure Trav and Kelvin will be only to happy tohelp. Just let us know what the intended date is then we can plan around it. I have spare kit, helmets etc and will ask the team riders to make their bikes available for "guests" to use. We should have around ten bikes available for the day.
  10. Great idea Nigel. I have a list of guys and girls wanting to give it a go and this opportunity will be perfect. We can help with bikes and kit if you need.
