Hi there! “The Bellville Velodrome is in a crisis situation and needs our help as an integral part of the cycling community. The City is considering demolishing both it and the athletics track to make way for a hotel complex. On Friday night there is an Interprovincial Track Cycling Championship featuring nobody else but Berhard Esterhuizen who came a creditable 11thplace in the London Olympics. Council Representatives’ will be there on Friday to asses the popularity of the event. We need those stands FULL!! For those of you who have never watched track cycling it is incredibly exciting event and promises to be a very entertaining evening with the opportunity to watch some of the best track cyclists in SA in action. Venue: Bellville Velodrome Date :Friday 17 August Racing starts at 7pm and entrance is FREE. Please forward this email to every cyclist and sports lover you know And who knows, mabey the Track bug bites you!!

All roadies. It's allways fun riding in a big bunch on a nice training ride! Any roadies from Kuilsriver riding on Saturdays? About 27km/h average. Looking at about 60-70km average... sometimes more! Or any groups going past Kuilsriver? Mabye Bottl Road or even on their way to Somerset west/ Strand or stellenbosch? Please let me know!! Thank you! Niel Rossouw
