Hi there! Does anyone know of a place in Stellenbosch, close to Maties Campus, where you can store your bike SAFELY during the day, and take a shower?? Reason I'm asking is because I want to start riding in with my bike, but I need a place to shower and store my bike during the day... If anyone can help me find such place it will be gr8!! Yes i've heard the sme story!! But the Junior record is legit?

The only prob is, once the track is broken down, I don't see the City of Capetown giving us a new one... This track is the only Indoor Olympic Standard Track in the whole of Africa... how must the big Sprinters train for Olympics??? But I must say that the events are sooooo poorly attended by spectators!!! 25 people if lucky! We need to work on a plan to get those stands full!! THE NEXT MEETING IS ON THE 9TH OF OCTOBER!!!

Uhm, the track does not get warm enough for fast times?? On Tuesday 11 September 2012 the SA Elite and Junior record were smashed on that track...

Remember that a new bike doesn't come with new fitness levels! You are still the engine!

Hi Let's Ride! If you want to try it out some time, you can give me a shout! Our club founder, Jaco Scholtz, has a few bikes that you can rent! He will take you for a session or 2 on the track. Just to start out you know. Don't want to buy a bike before you rode on the track to get the hang of it! But i'ts a real nice sport!! I started out 5 months ago!! Not looking back at all!

With some of the helmets the guys where, he won't think you lied all the way... haha

New tires are notoriously slippery until scrubbed in. I know more than one person that has dumped their bikes going around their own block after putting on fresh tires. Mold release agent or something about the top layer of rubber. One blast down a gravel road seems to scrub them clean. Got this on some website. hope it helps!

He introduced about 27 new guys to the track this year!

Ordered about 3 or 4 times from CRC. No problems at all. But I have heard of other people who had a lot of probs with them... as long as they fix the problem for you it's fine! It's not about the amount slip ups, but how they fix the slip ups!

Let's ride, if you like it that much, come to the middle, where the guys of Trackcyclingsa sit. Ask for Jaco Scholtz. He has a few rental bikes and can line you up with a few sessions onthe track. GR8 FUN!!
