  1. The second tire I cleaned had sealant with a red/pink colour. Was able to pull it off in large chunks. Any idea which sealant is red or pink in colour? Sealant from one 26inch tire for reference.
  2. Tackled one of the kids bikes that’s been standing for two years a while back. Aim was to clean out sealant and put in tubes till the next kid start using it. After several attempts I found the cleaner for sanding discs works well as an eraser. You need to rub a spot a few times till the sealant bundles up and it then wipes off. Below is a picture of the one that worked.
  3. So I did the race last year for the first time in 10 years. Made peace with starting very late (9:15) as I no longer have a seeding knowing that the next one will be better. My wife entered this year, her first cycle race ever. She is in a earlier batch than me. How does that work?
  4. Any updates on a new service to watch the road season. Had a look earlier and can’t see Strade Bianche on the DSTV schedule for this weekend. Looks like there is an Australian service, SBS, that will be streaming the race. Still have an active VPN and will give that a try. Really miss GCN+
  5. Like most said, what works for one person might not work for another. Very happy with a WTB Silverado for my MTB, switched from Selle Italia SLs as I kept cracking them on the MTB. Still use Selle’s on the road but won’t switch back on the MTB

Thanks for the GPX file. First time riding since 2009, remember how fast it used to be past the Zoo and down to Randburg, guess Sunday is going to be a different memory of that section. Below is a nice view of how it plays out
  7. Had the same issue on the exhaust. Using the rack with the half melted plastic support at the moment and it still works. Can't go wrong with the Thule. When you load the bikes in the morning you can deal with taking off wheels etc, when you get back after a few hours riding with a bike full of mud you are love the Thule
  8. You're lucky, my cadence sendor only works once in while, the wireless sensor chows batteries quickier than a BlackBerry and I've just given up on them. There could be two problems for you, the Bryton takes a while to find the satelites before it will show you a speed, I'm in the habit now of putting it on the bike when I take it of the carrier and pressing the start button as if I'm starting my ride while I finish kitting up. When you power up the Bryton select the meter mode, and then press the start button, it should ask you if you want to start, press the start button again (2nd possible problem). Give it some time to find the satelites, it normally takes 2 - 3 minutes. It will start to show the speed only after it found your position.
