Agree..Not a lekker response Hakahana.....That being said...you are not going to get everyone 100% happy.. I enjoyed the petrol taste of the water, cause my petrol was finished after the 1st 40km....Every extra bit of petrol helped....

1st climb was rideable.. I was in B batch marathon...but it took a lot out of me..Cramps at 40km....Not nice...Track not to bad..Hate the concrete climb at the end...Got a little lost at about 30km mark...I was not the only one....anyone else got lost

was n tawwe race...Started a little fast and paid for it the last 20km.....Cramps..But enjoyed the first 40....

Any crazy downhills like at van gaalens?Last year was tuff...looking forward to this one...

Specialized Purgatory 2.3 front and fast track 2.0 at the back....They are much cheaper than other brands...Used it at van gaalens marathon this year with no problems...Bike is new so can't comment on durability of tyres,but well priced....

I am looking forward to the Marathon..66,1km it looks like...Will not start as fast as last year..Had no legs for the last climb...So 1st 35km till after that nasty decent I will only go steady....Last year the wind killed me cause I was caught alone after the crazy decent...MAinly cause a lot of riders crashed on the decent and I opted to rather walk it down...I will walk it again..Only the last 20 meters or so...Ja ek weet eks bang...

Can I just give a huge shout out to Anton and the guys at Summit Cycles! The guy knows his stuff and won't sell you junk! Very satisfied with service. Now to go hammer my new Epic!!
